ReplyDeleteI am not sure what i like best about the blog tours, the chance to win something as nice as Amy's book or being led to so many great blog's. I'll never get any work done.. too busy reading what other's are doing :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know the name of the pattern, but it looked like a trellis with a pale aqua background and entertwined floral priny and a black which gave me the impression of a garden trellis.
ReplyDeleteI like blog tours because they introduce me to more quilters....I liked the quilt with the small squares!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE what you have done with Amy's design. Thanks for the chance to win with her beautiful book!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get this book!
ReplyDeleteLove all the quilts, but the one on the bed in your blog is the one that caought my eye and made me feel warma and fuzzy. Why? Reminds me of playing on the floor of my mothers fithchen an a small child. The 50's linolium had a similr design. would love to win

ReplyDeleteLots of pretty ones. I really liked the solids quilt with lots of greens, blues & some red that was hanging above a ledge.

ReplyDeleteAmy's book looks amazing. I really love the simple minimalistic look of tumbling squares.

ReplyDeleteI like the clean lines of the quilts in this book. Thanks for showing us your version of the cross quilt.

ReplyDeleteI'm working on my first quilt and would love a copy of this book to inspire me for my next project! Thanks for the giveaway! gingerfreckle[at]gmail[dot]com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one that you made up -- I think it has "maze" in the name? What really impresses me is Amy's use of solids, and I also love that she has several all-solids designs. Thanks so much for participating in the blog tour!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there are several great quilts in the book -- can't say that I have a specific favorite, I like them all. Love your tulips with the dark, gloomy looking outer border. Kinda reminds me of the constant gray, gloomy skies of winter here in Seattle and the promise of spring to come!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great book. I'm new to quilting and I would love a chance to own this book! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love your take on the cross quilt V! Amy's book looks great- I like the solid one that looks almost like camo splotches, and daughter A likes the cover quilt. Thanks for offering the giveaway!

The quilt I liked was on a bed with purple & green pillows. I always look at large print fabrics and freeze when it comes time to cut into them. This looks like a great book to get over my hesitancy!
ReplyDeleteWould love to make the quilt pictured above with the squares and boxes. It looks complicated but I hope it's not.
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the tulip print and contrasted with black. Sweet and dramatic at the same time. I'm intrigued by the floating squares quilt, and would love to win a copy of the book!

ReplyDeleteThere is a green and blue and pink sort of woven or zigzag one that I like, but there really isn't one I don't like. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this stop on the book blog tour and the giveaway. I want to win Amy's book. Her tutorials are great so the book must be too. The quilt that I like (from your Amazon link) didn't have a name on the photo - it has aqua background with vertical columns of boxes sashed in brown with brown connectors. The boxes have colorful strips in them. It is hanging from a tree with a house in the background of the photo.
ReplyDeleteBeen fun seeing everyones take on their favorite quilt. I need more time to savor the photos to pick something to work on....I have such a hard time envisioning my own fabs to see if they would work. Need some more sit down time with the book ...
