SUNBURST TEMPLATE HERE at Material Obsession.
ADDICTED?
Yes I am...
Got coffee…time to make more. ;-)
Heres's ummmmmmm,
a few more….
I have more, but this is all I care to admit to…Today.
(most are done, a few are not…)
How about you?
I see a trend here . . . and no I do not have a single one . . . yet!!
ReplyDeleteI can see a new addiction forming -
Love all your Christmas quilts! I only have 2 Christmas quilts, both made from Basic Grey lines. Your red cross quilt kind of convinced me I could make my king size quilt a couple years ago. :)
ReplyDeleteI love ll your Christmas quilts! One Christmas quilts and have made a few, but realized this year that I don't have one for myself so I started a lime green and pink Christmas tree quilt. My top is done and someone saw it and wanted one, too, so mine still sits and hers is done. Now I have the urge to pull out all my Christmas scraps and play for a while :). Love all the circles!
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' those Sunburst blocks. Like you, I'm not a big fan of novelty prints, unless they are Christmas. And then they make me think Retro and happy memories. The ones you have chosen are perfect for Sunbursts.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmans quilts, too - and I just bought the Sunburst templates ... What a glorious combination :-)
ReplyDeleteI have the same enthusiasm as you, but for Halloween quilts. I love buying Halloween novelty fabrics. Although that said, I did make 2 Christmas quilts this year too. :-) I always love to peek in and see what you're working on! Happy Holidays.
ReplyDeleteI am handquilting number 6, designing and piecing number 7, picked up a top that will count as number 8 at a thrift shop, purchased fabrics for number 9 and dreaming of others......the last three have been red, green and black, but the next one is probably going to be hot pink, lime green, red and maybe a little orange. Christmas quilts are a fun way to try out new techniques and colors and to me, an unfinished Christmas quilt is still a Christmas decoration!
ReplyDeleteFabulous post! Wow, so much to comment about. First....that DOG! Jenny Egg is totally enchanted by you...if only I could get our dog to look at me with that much devotion....Sigh...
ReplyDeleteLove your Christmas Quilt Show today. Show us more!!!
Will you and Boo be making Peanut Blossoms? A totally Midwest Christmas cookie.... except today all recipes feature Hershey kisses when everybody knows the original recipe uses Brach's Chocolate Stars! I am off to bake some this afternoon!
I am having such fun making Christmas quilts too! None will be done this year, but next year Who knows???
Got a scrappy "many trips" quilt going as well as a stars quilt. So many more in the planning...
Oh, oh, oh! That red stars quilt!! Good thing my machine is set up for quilting: must resist starting anything new just now. Although I know there's a yard of Christmas Red around here somewhere...
ReplyDeletelove the sunburst block. will have to buy the template. haven't made a Christmas quilt in quite awhile. will have to get busy in the new year. keep buying Christmas fabric, so i am ready.

Just love the colours in the Sunburst quilt. Will have to buy some more Christmas fabric if I want to make this beautiful quilt. Made two Christmas cushions tonight for the couch so I am happy! Happy sewing!!
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas quilt is made up of blocks from AOL exchanges in the 90's.
ReplyDeleteI have a few but my favorite is a Friendship star made up of swap blocks from my first chat group. Blocks made in '97 and I put quilt together in Nov 1999, just in time to welcome new century. I need to get busy to catch up with your collection!
ReplyDeleteLove that little Santa block. I just may have to try to copy it. Love all your Christmas quilts. I only have a couple.
ReplyDeletethrilled to have found your blog as I have just bought your book Minutes of play and can`t wait to get going with some scraps.
