Cherrywood Fabrics

The first few days in Minnesota we spent in a very quiet way... feet up, relaxing.... take it all in... But now, we're off and running....

We set off for Brainerd, Minnesota in search of Paul Bunyan!  We found him! (kind of hard to miss the big guy... )  We forgot to go spot Babe, the blue ox... oh well.. next time...

We had a play day planned with Karla from Cherrywood fabrics and her daughter, so we scooted over there, picked them up, and had lovely lunch! Thanks Karla!  Do you know Cherrywood fabrics? They are hand dyed cottons that are just luscious...  Karla recently opened a shop with in Colorz Quilt shop.  http://www.cherrywoodfabrics.com
 Aren't the colors just yummy?
Here's Martha who I know has commented on my blog before! ;-) So nice to meet you, Martha! Beatrice is even checking out the goods... ;-)

It was a lovely day in Brainerd, and now we are in Duluth, MN... Tomorrow is the first day of the MN quilt show, and I lecture at 6pm at Hannah Johnson Fabrics! Hope to see you there!

  1. love Minnesota - I was born in St. Paul - Of course I was only there for about 2 years before moving on to Wisconsin - but I can still say it is a great state, but in different parts of it over the years.
Looks like your daughter is going to be a quilter too huh - nice!
