Whatever it is you are working on...I LOVE IT! Yes, in fact instead of catching up on my V.I.R (Very Important Reading) here I 'should' be handstitching the binding of a quilt...we have a show in just 2 days...before that I will put binding and finish another quilt and finish a Midi-Twister Table Topper...and...I'm sure there is more...LOL
Gorgeous work on the 20 quilt! And I cannot wait to hear more about what's under the machine -- those colors! wow!
No finishes for me this week; I will get a border done, I hope, on the quilt top I'm doing for my 2nd son, but it is still a long way from finished. He designed this one, and it's a 2-sided quilt. Front is nearly done (once this border gets done, the rest of the front will be simple) but haven't started the back yet. Definitely hoping it's a May finish though! We're heading into cold, and I'd like him to have it.
Love your handstitching! No quilting this week - just piecing improv blocks for my brother's Halloween birthday quilt. Tomorrow and Saturday I will be up to my eyeballs in fabric! I am helping out at Miller's Dry Goods in Charm, Ohio for their 30% off anniversary sale. The weather is suppose to be beautiful so it will be a good weekend for all to head out to Amish country and buy some fabric!
i am just finishing up handstitching the binding on 2 quilts. i hope to get another one basted today and start some handquilting, which i have been CRAVING!
Girl ----your use of color is so effortless, natural, and free. You create art ---what I love most about your work is the real., raw. Organic quality that simply radiates. Without struggling to get it "right"---it just naturally falls into it's own place--------and that's a beautiful thing-------hope this all makes sense?
Yes, I am finishing my quilt alliance contest quilt----very frustrating as I ran out of fabric---had to re-order more---hopefully will arrive by early next week. Thank goodness the deadline was extended to June 1st.
Preparing a few more items to sell at the wappingers falls historical society gift shop. Sunday may 5th is our Victorian Tea!

ReplyDeleteI am hand stitching a binding of a great boy charity quilt, all sports fabric. Some little guy is gonna love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the stitching on that, really fun.
ReplyDeleteI just finished a quilt top for my, soon to be, grandson.
I also work on hand stitching at night.

I love the even-ness of your hand stitching. I am slightly jealous....mine is not nearly that good.
