Brooklyn Museum visit

Thursday, I went to Brooklyn with some of my friends to see the Quilt Exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum...I highly recommend the show, but these El Anatsui's are NOT to be missed....
Breathtaking, makes your soul quiet...

Of course the Anna Williams did the same thing for me, it has SPARKLY fabric in it!
Heaven!

and this crazy quilt was pretty spectacular as well....
Get to brooklyn. It's worth the visit!
Thanks Kim, Michele, and Helen for a fabulous day!

And that ain't NO JOKE!
Happy April 1st!

  1. I agree. I saw some of Anatsui's work at the Denver Art Museum this last year and I just loved it.

  2. The Anatsui exhibit was here in Akron, Oh before it was packed up and shipped to Brooklyn so I got to see it! It was amazing!

  3. Anatsui's work has such an ethereal quality to it. Love the 3-D aspect. Very tactile.
