I'm wrestling it to the ground over here! Split seams and all! Section by section the SANTA SINK quilt is coming together! As I add sections to the bigger piece, it starts to get unruly, but all is falling into place. I had some friends in the studio today, who walked in and wanted the quilt... I guess they liked it!
The white space is about the size of chunks I'm working with at a time. Working in pieces of "Made fabric" here and there to keep the seams all mismatched...
Here you can see the top section (above) that I still need to piece to FIT into all those raggedy pieces. The bottom section looks a bit smoother, with a few bumps to work around, but should go together quickly.
Happy Friday!!!
That is terrifically Awesome!
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is as cheerful as this quilt !~!

ReplyDeleteI should do something like this

wow, looks massive, turning out really great!
ReplyDeletewhat size is this quilt going to be - it does get kind of hard putting all those rows together when the quilt grows larger and larger - my largest are usually around 108 x 108 and I know they are difficult at times!
ReplyDeleteFantabulous!!!!!! of COURSE we want it... WANT WANT WANT....
ReplyDeletenow I need to make a sink quilt.. does everyone say this to you?
Amazing to watch it come together! You write about it as if it is easy, but I know that it is really very hard! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHow big is this going to be? Good grief it looks HUGE! What a fun quilt with so much personality and all the different people that participated in making the blocks - just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love watching you work with these huge quilts!!! At 5'1" - I would be at a big disadvantage. I will happily continue to watch you :)!! This quilt is so happy.
ReplyDeleteThis just looks so incredibly difficult - the size, the matching up and then the quilting. Best of luck with the bumps and lumps. I do like the joyousness of this quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks wonderful - everyone did such a great job with their individual Santa blocks. This is a happy, happy quilt!
