In recovery...

Hey it's Boo here!  Thank you for all the comments wishing Humphrey well.  We looked over them together and, because of you, Humphrey is in full time recovery.  He is even wrapped up in his very own little quilt professing his love for me.  He is one of the most important things to me, although I could not watch when he was undergoing surgery...

I'm happy to say that Humphrey will be relaxing in style for the next couple of days.  (yeah, the glasses reflect a glare and it makes it look like it is his eyes.  Creepy, huh?)

Thanks again to all of you that supported Humphrey during his surgery.

Sincerely,
Boo

  2. Your surgeon did an excellent job. And amazing that she also stitched up a custom quilt for Humphrey. I'm glad that he is on the road to recovery. The shades are just a little large but probably necessary to protect his tired eyes after the stress of the last couple days. ;-)

  4. So glad Humphrey is recovering well! Love the little quilt too. Maybe he needs some peanut butter ice cream to ease his bed rest??

  6. Hi Boo! We have to take care of our friends whom we love. My 45 year old bear (that I love now as much as when I got him) needed an ear adjustment that I had put off for a long time. I seem to remember carrying him around by his ear when I was very little. Anyway, Humphrey looks like he made it through his surgery just perfectly.
p.s. I have a not so little girl nick-named Boo too!

  8. He looks like he is doing much better now. Perhaps he would like to be read to....try "The Velveteen Rabbit" by Margery Williams, or "Big Max" by Kin Platt. I think he would like them.

  9. thanks for the update Boo...you wrote a wonderful blog post and I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't have your own blog one day. Give Humphrey a cuddle; it's the best medicine.

  10. My Teddy had to endure a few nips and tucks and he is still here, 60+ years later. I'm sure Humphrey has many years left in him!

  12. Hi Boo,

Oh yes when we have stress like surgery on a loved one it helps to reach out to our friends for support.
Looks like he is one the mend and you'll have many more happy years together. How do you think he'll going off to college?

Enjoy your first day of school :0)

  14. So glad Humphrey came through with flying colors. Boo, you'll have to make sure to pamper him for the next few days. I suggest sharing a chocolate malt with him. Elephants really like chocolate malts, I'm told.

  18. Humphrey looks very well cared for, Boo. The fourteen downstairs teddies and not-teddies (chicklets, lions, etc.) were very concerned and made it an excuse for an all-night vigil. Of course now they all want their own quilt.
