nice day.

I really thought I was going to have a lazy summer... Not to be.  I have not had any "sit down sewing" time, so I've not had anything to share with you! I had my hand projects, and a few bindings, and quilt sleeves, and that's about it. For now... My bags are packed for the next two trips and the dogs are eyeing me with big sad eyes.  I just need to get through this week, then I am officially taking a week off when I get to Canada...  I'm flying to Cleveland, Wednesday to shoot a quilt episode for PBS. How crazy is that? details later, on that... I'm a bundle of nerves...

Did you watch the closing ceremonies of the Olympics? We did.  I sat and sewed quilt sleeves...and listen to all the music... Fun stuff. They were so great, Amazing athletes... I get all emotional when people win, or lose... haha!

Here's my red and green top I found in Iowa... Isn't it so pretty? I still think it's my best find...I just love it...This is the one that is already on the Quilt Index. Great fabrics.

Summer is going by to fast... But we've enjoyed it. Stand up Paddle boarding was a highlight... Boo is a natural... She's doing yoga on her board, somersaults etc... I'm just trying to stay standing up. LOL!

Busted!  Caught pecking my tomatoes again... Will I have any left to can when I get home?

Enjoy some quiet time.  ;-)

  1. I can't wait to hear about the PBS show, I always tape the quilt shows, so I can watch while I work on projects.
I prefer something I can sit in, lol.

  6. I'm really excited to hear you're doing a PBS show and look forward to hearing when it will air.
Summer has, indeed, passed too quickly. With all your upcoming travel, those weeks of hand sewing will be like "banked" serenity during crazy busy days ahead. I think it's good for our souls to get unplugged once in a while. Safe travels!

  7. Oooh, looking forward to your PBS piece. I always check out the quilting shows there to see what's going on. Will be extra vigilant looking for you.

All the best with the rest of your travels this summer. Will be thinking of you in Canada and when you visit Mardens in Maine.

  9. I will be looking forward to seeing you on that PBS show! Cleveland - you will be only 45 minutes from where I live! I have never been to any quilt shops in the Cleveland area so I will be interested to hear of any that you visit.

I watched closing ceremonies and was so glad to see George Michael! He sounded great!

Summer is going by quickly - I think about it all the time! It has cooled off a bit so maybe I can get my yard cleaned up before winter comes. UGH!

Have a safe trip - enjoy Cleveland and Canada!

  12. Don't worry about the show; you'll be a natural! The paddle boarding looks fun. Isn't that the way it always is? The kids learn anything physical so much faster than us!
