Colorful Interview: Jamie Fingal

Add caption

Anyone who can list themselves as Rebel Quilter, is my kind of gal.
Straight up, I love her work.  She goes to places I can't even begin to think about...Her sense of color oozes from her quilts, as bright  fun, wonderful objects of art.

Name 5  you think are "ODD" together....  or weird combos?  light gray, hot pink, light beige, lime green, light turquoise

Is there a color you find you always use?   true red

three colors you use most together?   blue red, royal blue, lime green

Can you relate your favorite color to something in your childhood?   I had a lime green and hot pink bedspread in my room.

What color makes you feel happy?  red - drive a red car, red in my upholstered furniture in my house, red cabinet, cart and small dresser in my studio and wearing red pajamas as I type this!

Can you tell me why?  It says to me "I'm here, I'm bold, I'm bright, I'm passionate - Let's rock and roll"

Is there a color you avoid? white

I'm with you on that one Jamie!  I see very little white in your stash!
We are alike in that I have oodles of Blue...That I really need to look at more closely and minimize it!

I love your sign:
CAN DO IT!
YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SHARE
YOU HAVE A VOICE!

Wise advice Jamie, Thank you for sharing a bit about your color story!

Be sure to pop over and say hi to Jamie at her blog, where you can really see her color in action!

Next week we will visit Kathy from Material Obsession!

  4. I love the whimsy and colorplay in her quilts. Oh, to be so free... I need to work on that part -- the letting go with design and going with the flow.
