a day for a day dream

Look at these Antique beauties! A new friend sent these to me, after meeting her at the
Quilters take Manhattan Event.  She mentioned she had two orphan blocks that she
thought just had to come and live with me, I had no idea they would be this cool!

I have them up on my wall so I can peak at them every so often.

Waiting to see if anything starts coming to mind for what I should do with them....

For now, I want to make a pattern from them to make more..

I feel like they should be appliqued to something...

Perhaps a start of  something bigger and rounder...

Maybe they will be the start and I can work off them,

maybe...

Oh, It's nice to day dream...

I'll wait for them to speak to me.

Thank You Karen, for inspiring me.

  2. They look like some of the Merideth Clark blocks that she has created template sets for. I think you can see them on the Material Obsession blog too.

(and now I have that daydream song in my head - and I only know one line of it. ha)

  4. These are wonderful. It never ceases to amaze me how intricate and complicated these old blocks are. Our modern day speed and pre-cuts have hindered us from taking the time required to make one of these beauties. Can't wait to see where your inspriation takes you :).
