I'm actually working on a quilt right now that has Max and Whiskers fabric in it...it's really cute. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThose dancing reindeer are just too cute! I tend to collect sewing novelty fabrics. But have been known to buy "food" fabric. I have the chocolate fabric and think I could add some polka dot fabrics to showcase it!! Thanks for the hop!!
ReplyDeleteI like so many novelty prints that it's hard to choose a favorite. I do buy a lot with animals on them though. And I've seen one online with toasters that I think is hilarious -- might have to get some of that.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite novelty prints are the ones with kids and animals. I have some fun dog fabric I would like to put in a quilt this summer!
ReplyDeleteI love the sherbet pip dog novelty fabrics! Thanks for a chance to win. Allison gougeonathome@charter.net

ReplyDeleteI love all the novelty prints, but the food ones are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHalloween prints - black cats, witch hats, moon and stars, pumpkins
ReplyDeleteI have some of those dancing reindeer novelty fabrics. I made a vest for my DD who works in an elementary school. They all dress up for the kids and the holiday.
ReplyDeleteI have some cupcake fabs too. I want to make birthday place-mats out of that.
I don't have any specific brand of novelty fabric that is my favorite.. however I'm currently trying to pick up pieces here and there as I come across them. I want to make either a hexagon quilt or a cathedral windows quilt with all different novelty prints in it.. an adventure for future grands to find their favorite picture. Of course Pats book could change those plans in an instant.
ReplyDeleteI love baby novelty prints. I have so many I don't know what to do with. This book would help. Thanks for the chance to win
ReplyDeleteMy favourite novelty prints are cat prints - anything with cats!
ReplyDeleteI have some Christmas novelties, but want to make some cute baby quilts soon, so will try to pick up some baby novelties!

ReplyDeleteI would probably say either Christmas or fabrics with words/text on them are a fav.
ReplyDeleteI have a great novelty print of side by side cats, some with mice in their mouths. Just where mice should be! Kathie L in Allentown

ReplyDeleteI'm like you, Victoria, just about can't pass up Christmas fabric. I like stuff with animals (dogs, particularly) on them. And I like vintage style novelties. It would be cool to have a book like this on hand for quick and easy patterns for a charity or baby quilt. I don't know how Pat does it all. She must have figured out how to clone herself! I don't know if I have a favorite novelty fabric. I've used quite a few making quilts for my grandsons. This past Christmas I made Toy Story quilt for one and a sock monkey quilt for the other. They loved them and that's all I need to know.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the very next novelty print I'll be buying for sure will be more Christmas fabric. I vowed to myself (again this year haha) to start making holiday gifts by June so that I'll be done by the rush of the holiday season hits. I'm usually the one still finishing gifts as those who are coming to our house are already on the road. Forget the night before last minute stitchers. Nope. *I* am the one that just thrives on that last minute stress and have been known to finish gifts as the guests are pulling into my driveway. LOL One year I was finishing a gift as my husband was letting them in the back door. ACK! Yea, that was a bit close even for me. LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the chance to win this book. Maybe I can get some inspiration from Pat to stick with my once again thought of getting these gifts done in June instead of ON Christmas.
I have that reindeer fabric! I bought that and several other Tammis Keefe prints when they came out. My favorite is a pink and green alligator print. I've been waiting for a good excuse to cut them up and this book may be it!

ReplyDeleteI love the concept of this book because I have loved novelty fabrics; but, have no clue to how to use them.
Thank you for a chance to win!
I'm inexplicably fond of any fabric with really good BUGS or REPTILES on it, so long as there are NO SPIDERS! Once I buy the fabric, though, I don't know what to do with it. Cleary I need a copy of Pat's book!
ReplyDeleteI think it was probably novelty prints that got me into quiltmaking in the first place! Right now I bet 2/3 of my stash is novelty prints. Halloween (mostly skulls and skeletons) is my weakness, with dogs running a close second. I use novelty prints as a jumping off point for art quilts as well as themed utility quilts. Fun, fun, fun!

ReplyDeleteI love all kinds of novelty prints but at the moment it's bicycle fabric and kids prints. It's all so much fun it's hard to choose. I'm looking forward to seeing a copy of this book for some great ways to use my "collection".
ReplyDeleteI like cats and dogs. I also like the coffee ones.

For awhile the 'well endowed' Fruit Ladies were my favorites. Trimmed a lot of tea towels. And now there are so many new ones, it is hard to choose a favorite. Do like all the retro kitchen gadgets and the many toy prints.
ReplyDeleteI love the candy fabrics--and I love the cupcake fabric that I am seeing---I am going to make a quilt like these--too fun..
ReplyDeleteI spotted some fabric printed with images of some of the Little Golden Books "stars" and I need it. I'm in my second childhood, I guess, so I am drawn to all kinds of things from when I was young. It was a long time ago!

I love seasonal novelty prints especially christmas and Halloween. I just bought a piece of birthday balloons for the back of a table runner I just finished. It's always a fun way to use a novelty print.
ReplyDeleteI was in Williamsburg yesterday on the way home with the hubby. He graciously stopped at a local quilt store so I could shop - I think my trying to open the car door before we even stopped convinced him, LOL. Love 2 Quilt, don't you just love that name? Anyway, they had a panel of fabric featuring different birds in each panel. I had to buy it (I have 6 bird feeders in my backyard) and think I'll center them inside Ohio stars.
ReplyDeleteI would love some TammisKeefe novelty fabric! Thanks for the review and giveaway.
