Can i really be first? It was lovely meeting you yesterday in NYC at the show. Miss B is precious!
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Birthday! My favorite, hmm, hard to say. Probably 36, because I had a delicious little 3 week old as my present.
Have a wonderful day!
Heather
I love my birthday and my husband spoils me every year. My favorite is this years for 2 reasons the memories are fresh and I went to California for a celebration with wine, whales and redwoods. My 60th birthday really rocked.
ReplyDeleteI think this comment will go in the #3 spot which is funny because my b-day is on the 3rd of November. I was mesmerized by the "Infinite Variety" of red and white quilts on exhibit at the Armory and meeting you was an added pleasure as well. What a wonderful gift Mrs. Rose gave to New York!
ReplyDeletePattiKakes: kel82197@comcast.net
PS: I am grateful for every birthday and find it difficult to pick a favorite!
ReplyDeletePattiKakes
Happy Birthday!! How wonderful of you to give "us" a birthday gift on your birthday! I have 3 little granddaughters so this book looks like it would offer lots of ideas for many birthday gifts for them!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday?-----I would have to say my 13th when I got my first big girl bike (a 10 speed!) plus I got to have a huge slumber party with all of my friends! It was a memory I will never forget. <3
22- there was none of the pressure associated with turning 21 and I was a full fledged adult with a job!
ReplyDeleteI'm not entering the giveaway because my little girl is turning 21 in a couple of weeks, but just wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday and many more!. My favorite birthday was last year when I turned 50 because we were on vacation and the older I get the more I learn to not stress out about stuff so much and to be thankful for what I have.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was probably my 40th. I was given my first adult birthday party and it was fun!
ReplyDeleteI have 4 grand daughters and agree that this book is probably filled with great gift ideas for them.
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteBest birthday hmmm...I think 34 was pretty darn good...flowers, dinner, gifts...really good!
Happy Happy birthday, V. You are a wise, bright and shining star in the quilting blog world.
ReplyDeleteMy 58th birthday in 3 months will be my best ever - I am of the age I can do as I want and not be bothered with the pettiness of others. I love life and cherish each moment !
happy birthday V! 41 years young!!
ReplyDeletei love the girly world of J Paganelli!! best birthday...it's sure to be the next one!
What is my favorite birthday age? The ones when all my children are here is the best. My birthday is July 6 so we usually celebrate the Fourth and my birthday. Last summer all of us were together. My children had gotten my a beautiful cake or at least I heard it was beautiful. My son dropped it coming through the door. We are still laughing!
ReplyDeleteHappy HapPY bIrThday To yOu, V!!!
ReplyDeleteMy fav. birthday was 28. S turned 2 and she was able to clap and "sing" the birthday song for me and a overall picture for a birthday card~
First of all Happy Birthday. I love birthdays and my favorite was my 50th. We had about 35 of our favorite friends over. My husband made 2 turkeys on the grill and also 8 lbs of pulled pork. We had friends that came from Iowa that hung out for 3 days and we did not much more than sit out on the deck for those 3 days. It was so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, my dear Victoria! So glad you were born!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday age? Frankly, don't remember. But every year my Mom (now 92 yrs old) calls me and tells me about the time she first held me...Well, I guess that makes every birthday super special!
Not sure what birthday was the best. But shortly after I turned 59 I got a granddaughter. She is so special to me - my first grandchild and it is a girl. I have 3 sons. Twins and then I tried again for a girl. Another boy. So you can understand how excited I was to welcome a girl into the family. I would love to sew for her and this book would be wonderful. Have a great birthday - and hope you have many more.

Really! Happy birthday Victoria! What a fabulous day to celebrate! Do you have any big plans for your special day?
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious that you already have a copy of Jennifer's new book! I adore her fabrics and designs so I look forward to getting a copy too. My favorite birthday celebration was turning 40 in New York City! My favorite age was late 20s.
Happy Birthday! I turned 58 last month....how did I get so old....anyway it was a great birthday celebrated with family.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Victoria! no girls in my life, just a bunch of boys, so I'm not here for the giveaway, just to pass on my best wishes. I think my last birthday is always the best, and I'm really looking forward to my next birthday in NYC.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Victoria! I could tell you my favorite Christmas, but can not remember a birthday celebration that stands out. I'm just happy to have cake and ice cream and as many friends and family that can be there. I do remember a birthday somewhere around 2000, that would have made me 42, when I lived in FL. My husband ask me If he baked me a cake would I want to call my friends over for a little party! My friends (one who usually gets very expensive gifts) were so jealous that my husband baked me a cake with his own two hands, and that he wasn't asked but did it on his own. That is happiness to me. Life is simple.
ReplyDeleteI think my next birthday in JUne will be my favorite, because it will mean I'm still here to live, and love, and breathe, and garden, and sew!
DON'T ENTER ME IN THE GIVE AWAY. No little girls in my life, and none expected anytime soon.
Blessings :o)
My birthday is April 1st and, although it hasn't happened yet, I think this year will be my favorite. I am finally putting down the accountant's pencil and calculator and accounting software at age 60 and start spending more quality time with my family, and doing more creative things for them and our house and gardens (don't count me in for the giveaway...)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Victoria!
Happy Birthday Victoria! Am pretty fond of all birthdays. Each one marks some new change or stage of life. Not here for the giveaway... Just wanted to wish you the best for today. Hope you have a great one...
ReplyDeleteSusannah
Happy, happy birthday V!
ReplyDeleteI think my happiest birthday was yesterday when I turned 50!!! I had a rocking weekend of celebrations.
Enjoy your day with Jennifer today, I know you are so excited to see her. oxox
GASP! i'm sitting here with my king sized big block favorite quilt that showcases many, many of Jennifers designs, snuggled around me reading this post, whew. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! my favorite birthday would go way back to childhood (in the 50's), my parents gave me a surprise birthday party. the pictures are so cute, we were all dressed in our Sunday best dresses.blah, blah, i could go on and on. thanks for asking.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that looks luscious! What a lovely birthday giveaway- wishing you a very wonderful birthday V! It is hard to choose my favorite birthday- I am going to say 30, when my husband surprised me with a wonderful staycation at the Alexis Hotel and dinner in the market. I loved "visiting" my own town!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Victoria! Hope it's a really special day for you! Thank you for sharing this wonderful giveaway with all of us!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was my 36th when my husband proposed to me in our new home. It seemed really fitting so it's especially memorable:)
jodym7@yahoo.com
Happy Birthday to you! My favorite was 21 when my parents sent me a dozen roses and gave me an heirloom piece of jewelry.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite age was 27. I had just graduated from college (Finally!) and was starting a new life in a new city with a new job. I was on top of the world.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the generous give away, and Happy Birthday to You!
Sharon

Happy birthday!!! Birthdays just keep getting better for me too. I loved the 40s and the 50s and so far the 60s are great too. One of the best in recent birthdays was my 60th when we took the QM2 from NYC to England.
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy day V!!! Only you would give us a gift on your special day! Best bday? the 40th was awesome, my family planned the whole thing, we had a houseful of guests, and spent the afternoon tying quilts for charity. Also remember many bdays in my teens, out sledding with friends late at night on my bday "eve"(on "watertower hill"), getting frozen eyelashes, then back home for hot cocoa and cake. (my bday is new years day). Many more to you! (you can leave my name out of the hat too, my girls are grown)Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to You! Your blog was shared with me by a dear friend who saw me dipping my toes into sewing liberation and thought of you! You've been a great inspiration already, though I am a new reader.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I have to say that the birthdays in my 30s have been really great. Though I don't necessarily remember my age like I used to (does it matter, really?!), I've hit a new stride since turning 30, and it's been getting better every year!
Iris
Happy Birthday! It was fun meeting you yesterday and those red and white quilts are still swimming in my head. I guess my most recent favorite birthday was 2010 when I was snowed in with both kids, my husband, and my mom. We had a card game tournament and tasty food. Have a fun day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Victoria!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for making me go to the two museums while in town for the Red & White show.....the quilts at the museums where so beautiful, and I am very glad I didn't miss them. I also went to the Guild show and saw two of your beautiful quilts! They were fabulous!
Of course, the R&W show was amazing....what a wonderful gift to all of us!
My birthday lands on President's Weekend, so my best ones would be when all our ski buddies visited, and we skied our brains out, and they always brought me a cake! Sweet!
Thanks for having a giveaway....we love that!
When I turned 50 my kids wanted to make it special. Just their wanting to make it special was the best present! Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Victoria! I think my best birthday year was when I finished first year at university and spent the entire summer in France with a girl friend. That was a fabulous year! (1979)
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday! :) My favorite age was 10. I was finally in the double digits and I finally felt like I meant something to the world! hahah. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY, Girlfriend! 41 was pretty good (my most recent), but one of my best, was my 36th, which took place just days after my first date with my soon-to-be-hubby. It was a great week.
ReplyDeleteAs a kid, I always remember sitting on the porch waiting for the mailman in hopes that there would a card or two for me in there. It would be nice to recapture that anticipation...
Happy B'Day Victoria and thank you for sharing it with your blogland friends.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite B'Day was 40th spent with great friends.
Happy Birthday, my friend! I hope you have a fantastic day and get spoiled rotten by your family!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite birthday age...hmmm...well, 19 made me legal (in New Brunswick), 20 I spent in Boston, which was pretty cool, but last year I turned 40 and my family threw a wonderful party for me. I also decided then that, since I'm now in my 40s, I can do whatever I want so I spent the summer in Europe. I can't believe I'm saying it, but I think 40 was the best birthday age.
Happy birthday Victoria. You're a gift to all of us!
ReplyDeleteMy most rememberable birthday was my 30th when two of my guy friends dressed up as the church ladies (Dana Carvey from SNL) and did their own rendition of my life. Hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I had my 49th BD this last Sunday and was so happy to be able to celebrate together with my parents and MIL as I live on the other side of the globe! i live in Brazil and they live in Holland. Just sitting outside in the garden, enjoying the early season sun and be together is so extra special for all of us! Hope you have a very special day too! X
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy birthday. My favorite birthday was my 50th. I was able to celebrate it with my family and my brand new granddaugther. Doesn't get any better than that.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy you day!!
Happy birthday! One of my favorites was my 30th. I had just gotten married the month before and it was so good to be living with the love of my life!
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday to you Victoria!!!! Hope you have a very special day planned celebrating with family and friends! I'd say my favorite birthday was probably when I turned 40 ..... lots of fun get togethers with family (week in Rosemary Beach) and friends (parties).
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday V. What a pleasure to see all these wonderful heartfelt greetings for you on this, your special day. My favorite b-day was 50th in 2007. Without going into detail, I made a choice that reinforced who I am and what I do to such an extent that I took that time to rededicate myself to my profession and to those I serve.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Victoria! My 41st was just 3 weeks ago )) The most remembered Birthday was two years ago. I spent it in Thailand. My husband and me dived and sunbathed. It was fantastic - to be transferred from cold winter Russia to the warm sea...
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you! I share your Sis Boom addiction, and the book looks just beautiful! I have had so many special birthdays, but I one very special one was my 36th because it was the last one I got to share with my mother before she died two months later. She was (and still is) my sewing inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Victoria!
ReplyDeleteMy earliest memory is my 4th Birthday party - I got a huge doll that "walked", but I think my most special was my 25th, my Dad alsways said don't get married until I was 25, so I got married the day after!
My 60th birthday was the best. I got a surprise when my oldest son and my sister showed up at my doorstep when my husband, dad, daughter and grandson and I were getting ready to leave for Branson.
ReplyDelete22 Hands down. I felt old enough to be taken seriously but still young enough to make mistakes.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Happy Birthday! My favorite birthday years are the ones to come. Each one just gets better. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you...You are sooo lucky you can't hear me sing! My favorite birthday had to be my 40th. The man I would soon marry flew half way across the country to surprise me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you, pretty lady! I hope your year is filled with crazy-wonderful creativity and joy!
ReplyDeleteFavorite birthday? My 18th. It was my senior prom and I went with a group of girlfriends instead of a date and had a blast!!
How about an adorable redheaded granddaughter to sew for?
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Birthday V! and yes they just keep getting better and better and as your daughter turns into a young woman you get to share more of your world with her and she becomes not only a daughter but a trusted and true friend.
And don't we all want to grow up and be like Helen no blog? I sure do!
thanks for a chance to win.....yes shamelessly entering for a chance :0)
Happy Sewing, Happy birthday, and thanks for all your inspiration and good cheer you add to my world.
Happy Birthday! I don't know about a favorite birthday... last year I was sick on my birthday but it was good because my mom and dad were visiting us. :) I also remember turning 10 and how I felt so important getting another digit in my age.
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday friend! Don't they just keep getting better?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was probably when I was twelve because I got to invite all the girls in my class to my house on the farm, everyone in dresses, the basement decorated and for a day it was all about me. That didn't happen often growing up as one of nine!
I see so many things in Jennifer's book that would be great to make for out little Miss Audrey!
My favorite birthday was 40. 30 really bothered me and so did 50 but I really felt 40 was the perfect age. I tried more new things in my 40's and really had a spiritual awakening....
ReplyDeleteHappy B- Day...smiles... You have a wonderful birth Date...for you share it with my dearest Grandma Blanche...smooches to you...
ReplyDeleteMy best Bday is coming soon..smiles...short of that I would say it was 10 years ago..smiles the big 30...had an exciting day and time...
Happy Birthday! I think my favorite age was 30...I felt wise but still young!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Lady !!!! Have a great day....I have never had a good birthday I hate them all they are a constant reminder that society will see me in a certain way, whether too little too old etc...But I hope you have a good one!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. Thanks for the chance to win a great book. I have three small granddaughters. I think my favourite birthday was my 40th as my sister arrived unexpectedly from Western Australia to surprise me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Happy Birthday - what an awesome book to share! I love JP.
ReplyDeleteI can't pick a favorite, but I really liked my 23rd. I'd just gone on my first date with my future husband the night before and it was just one of those magical days.
Hope your's is awesome!
Happy Birthday! Thanks for the great giveaway! My favorite birthday was probably 16 years old...I got my learner's permit and was so excited to finally start driving!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!!
ReplyDeleteI can´t pick one. Each one get better than the last one.
I loved 30. I had accomplished several major life goals by then, but I still didn't feel old. I also really enjoyed being done with the 20's.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! Mine was just on Friday. I think my favorite birthday was 29 years old. I had my first child who was almost 3 months old and I was finally getting the hang of motherhood.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! My favorite birthday was last year, 31st. My oldest daughter, 3 at the time, was so obsessed over any birthdays we had to celebrate every little thing. So I had to prepare a big meal and my own birthday cake to her exacting specifications. It was that moment, I realized she'd make an awesome large event and wedding planner. Very humorous all in all.
ReplyDeleteI think my happiest birthday was last year when I turned 55 and was old enough for retirement.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Victoria
My favorite birthday so far was my 50th. I felt an overall freedom and thankfulness all at the same time. I was in my last semester of Grad School (actually I was taking a statistics test on my 50th) and saw all sorts of happiness, hope and a long life ahead of me! I also went dog sledding in Alaska (for 6 days) a few months after my birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to You!!!
PS. I will be 58 this year!
ReplyDeleteMany more to you!
My favorite birthday was probably 18, because that's when my hubby and I started dating! I'd adore this book!
ReplyDeleteMy seventeenth birthday was my favorite! So many fun memories from being that age :)
ReplyDeletejacy468 at aim dot com
thanks for the giveaway! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
That's easy, it was my 37th when I found out I was pregnant with my now 18 year old daughter.
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing you a very, very happy birthday V!
Happy Birthday, Victoria! Yes, my favorite birthday was 17... it was my Junior Prom night and I was out with my favorite guy of all time! It was magical - he brought me red roses and said "you know what they mean, don't you".... ah, the stuff of youth!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your birthday! I've been 41 for 23 years already! (See - 41 isn't so bad!)
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Victoria! All of us out here join in celebrating YOU in our lives!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy Birthday, My favourite birthday was my 10th when my dad found me and took me out of the childrens home and took me to his house, the start of a new life. I am now happy and make toys and things for charity, that book sounds just great for lovely things to make.
ReplyDeleteA super special Happy Birthday to You!!!! I loved my 33rd birthday, it was 30 but with 10% extra! A friend threw an amazing party for me, I was surrounded by my most special friends. I'm turning 40 this year, I think it'll be a quieter birthday but I'm looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway, Jennifers book looks amazing, as is all her projects!
Happy Birthday to you! I am hoping you had a wonderful day. I would have to say my favorite birthday age was 21. I did a lot of traveling that year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to a very "young" number! How gracious to give-away gifts on your birthday. My favorite would had to have been number 40.....I got an engagement ring as my present after can-we-say some previous unhappy years. You give us gifts every day out here in blog-land with your inspiring posts.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

Happy birthday. 42 was my best birthday with lots of promise in the years to come. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think my best birthday was 40. I went into the office and saw the black balloons and started the day off laughing. I suddenly realized that age is just a number and as long as you feel good, every birthday is a reason to celebrate.
ReplyDelete(Unlike 30 when I cried for two days because I was "old" and unemployed and "alone." Thank goodness I grew up after that!)
Happy birthday! Thank you for giving presents to others on your day!! I believe my favorite birthday was when I turned 21 - I celebrated in Las Vegas!
ReplyDeletehappy birthday!! thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteI recently (last week) had my 23rd, and it was by far my favorite because of my amazing boyfriend.
jmistok(at)gmail(dot)com
its 23!!! after that I always feel I'm growing older...:(
ReplyDelete50! In 2010, I celebrated birthday #50 and anniversary #30, so I basically partied all year! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHi, Every birthday is my Favorite. I am glad to still be having Birthday's. 53yr young
ReplyDeleteI don't have any girls so you can leave me out of the giveaway, but I want to wish you a Happy Birthday! All my birthdays are special but my 49th was special in a different way. My husband was deployed for a year but had been home the previous month for a mid-tour break. On my birthday he called and then sent me on a scavenger hunt through the house. Before he returned to the desert he left clues hidden throughout the house, one leading to another, ending with my gift. A birthday to remember!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you have a superb day.
ReplyDeleteMy most memorable birthday will have to be the 50th. I was so spoilt that day.
Love the gorgious book!
Happy Birthday V! I have loved the last week...the blogging gals, the pix of your trip...it has been great! My favorite birthday had to be my 30TH...I let go of all preconcieved notions of how life SHOULD be and started living my own life. It has been wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI have loved every. single. one!! :)
ReplyDeleteHave never been averse to admitting my age (48 turning 49 in May this year) never understood why you would want to lie about it really.
Though there was that one time at 23 when I thought and told everyone I was 24!! Took a while to live that down - LOL
Have a lovely birthday and a joyous year!
Lush

Happy Birthday to YOU!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog since Valentina (Valentina's Corner) introduced me to it. I felt the need to comment today because you actually celebrate your birthday with Valentina! I must say that I'm thankful for all my birthday's so can't really say a specific one. What I can say, is that I'm really enjoying all my very special friends and 2 of my children's birthdays which all seem to fall between 22nd-29th March.

My favorite and hardest birthday was 2 years ago when I finally believd my daughter would survive the next few years after having colon cancer. I hope that keeps on happening with no recurrences.
ReplyDeleteI had to check and double-check... This is just awesome, V: Happy Birthday to us! Hoping it is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI have been blessed to have all my birthdays to be special in some way or another. But I made a really big deal about becoming 29 on the 29th, I threw myself an awesome party! :)
I still cannot believe it, and yet... it doesn't really surprise me! LOL
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy birthday was the day before yours and I think the current birthday is always the best
18 was my favourite....I thought i could have changed the world...;)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Victoria!
Most certainly my 30th birthday! When others dread the beginning of the 30's...I was embracing...5 days later I gave birth to my first born!! What a wonderful giveaway! Happy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteBirthdays are very interesting; we try to make them special for our kids but for ourselves they are almost forgotten. I have a picture taken on my 42nd birthday...my almost 2 year old is sitting on my HUGE belly a month before #6 was born. I love the picture of my big belly. I have a son who is trying to adopt a little girl and I would love to make her a new dress when she enters the family.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was my 21. I was finally an adult girl.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm 61.
Happy Birthday. ciao ciao
Favorite birthday? Either 16, when I got to go on a white water boating trip with my dad and one of our friends gave me a lovely wildflower book (outdoors + flowers + 16 = awesome birthday) or last year's when I went on my first quilting retreat (friends + quilting + vacation = awesome birthday).
ReplyDeleteHope yours yesterday was FABULOUS!!!! Fun giveaway! Lovely JP book!
WOW Victoria, reading all of these comments has been exhilarating! All of these terrific women, sharing positive memories of their lives - just awesome! thank you~
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!!!! My favorite was 40 because my husband gave me a puppy. Plus lots of stuff went wrong on my birthday that year so I got alot of stories out of it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! My favorite birthday would have to be my 27th, it's when my husband proposed to me :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear...a late happy birthday from me too!
ReplyDeleteThe favourite birthday?...the next, of course!
Hugs
nichi
Happy Birthday to you! My favorite birthday - the one coming up next, in nearly a year.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my 16th birthday, my parents and boyfriend (at the time) went out to dinner together. That was when I officially could start dating and I got the keys to the car! Fun. I turn 30 this year, so I am hoping it is a good one, I would love to be pregnant this year on my birthday, that would make up for this past years birthday. We had a miscarriage 27 days before my 29th birthday... if things had gone differently then 29 would have been the best.
ReplyDeleteCute book, I have lots of friends with little girls and I love to make things and give presents, so this would be perfect.
each birthday is a gift. I'm sure that this is not the fashionable answer, but truly - the next one is always going to be the most gratefully anticipated! Love your work, bravo!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was 22. It was my senior year of college an my friends loved on me for 5 days. Several different parties and surprises. It was a good one.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you. My birthday has never been a favourite time, but it gets better as I get older. So I would have to say this year's birthday (Feb 8th) was the best. Thanks for a chance at your fabulous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Victoria!!! No favorite birthday, really. I do seem to minimize them these days but marvel that I am probably healthier now as I near my 50s than I was in my 20s!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, gee I remember when I turned 42, I became a grandmother, moved countries and started a new life.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! You're exactly two years younger than me. Hmm, my favorite birthday experience was probably when I was 12. We listened to Abba, danced, played charades and giggled, a LOT. And of course most of us were decked out in pastel Ditto jeans. LOL
ReplyDeleteI've had some really nice birthdays but the one I think of that really touches my heart is when I turned 30. My husband was late coming home from work but when he did he came through the door with a bouquet of flowers. Now for some people that is just a standard gift but for my husband it was something out of the ordinary for him to do, especially when money was a lot tighter then.
ReplyDeleteFavorite birthday age? I think (going back to my childhood), it must be around age 6. I remember getting all dressed up (very fancy dress, patent leather shoes and frilly socks), carrying a lovely wrapped gift and skipping down the block to my friend's house.
ReplyDeleteAs far as myself, each birthday is a gift, and I thank God for them!
I think my most memorable birthday was 40. I went to a quilt show with friends and then my husband rented a limo and took me along with two other couples into D.C. for a really nice dinner. It was a splurge and very memorable!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!! :) I hope its wonderful! I have 3 girls (and a boy!) and I'd love to win this book! It looks fabulous! My best birthday... Hmm... the most memorable was when I turned 5 and I got the "Barbie" cake I so desperately wished for!! :) lol!
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Birthday Victoria!! I've kind of been out of things, back at work after a week at Disney. But so glad your day was happy. The brownies look yummy - yay for Boo!! The book looks like fun!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 41st birthday! My favorite birthday was my 16th. Mom had a surprise party for me and it was the best! I had only had one birthday party before (when I was 4) so it was really special.
ReplyDeleteI love King Arthur products and will definitely have to try the Deep Dark Brownie recipe!
Holy Moly there are a lot of comments.
ReplyDeleteOkay I am catching up and missed that it was your birthday so am sending you a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! You are just a baby at 41!
I celebrate each and every birthday, because it means I am still here on this earth enjoying all that life brings to me.
Oops - forgot to wish you a belated Happy Birthday in my e-mail yesterday! But I've got to get in on this giveaway. I'm in love with the stuffed doggy in the book!
ReplyDelete
