Doll Quilt swap 10 partners, have been given out... I jumped right in to play...
I'm taking the opportunity to try new things, yet incorporate what I love to do...
make fabrics from bits...
It's hard not to be totally influenced by the Mosaics people make that show their LIKES...
So I am trying not to lose myself in the process of what I know about my partner...
and to still make something that represents me...
Thank goodness for the Sunday paper!
Hard to find paper long enough to paper pieces some geese otherwise!
Time to ponder my next move...
Are you already designing in your mind what you will make?
Or have you jumped into the creative pond too?
I love a good challenge!
This is awesom!!!!!!!!!!!! I love how the primary colors stand out against the light blues, I WANT THIS BLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for color for my chilly morning in Utha. Em
ReplyDeleteThis is cool! Do you think you'd be able to do a paper piecing tutorial? I've always interest about paper piecing, but not sure where to start.. i love your geese...

ReplyDeleteThat little piece packs a punch, it's stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the curving flying geese!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow V! Look at you go! I barely got my swap partner info, and you've already created something I'm drooling over and dreaming I'm your partner!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! You sure don't let any grass grow under your feet! It is looking great already!!
ReplyDeleteLove the geese! One question - I've paper-pieced before, do you sew from the top (as it appears, since we see the lines on the top) or from the back? are there lines there too?
ReplyDeleteYou flip it over.. if you use a sharpie on newsprint your line goes all the way through... so you don't have to re trace on the back... hand trick... i was just making a little tutorial how I did mine... will post later...
ReplyDeleteThose geese and that pieced green - WOW!
ReplyDeletethat IS a challenge. fabulous!
