Xmas goodies

Two Christmas goodies.... One Full size and one lap size!  (not king! LOL!)
Sheri Berry just had the cutest Xmas prints, so, I had to play a little...

GET CLOSE.
They don't SCREAM Christmas, from a distance,
but when you get snuggled up in them, then you see the cute prints...
Ornaments, cookie cutters and Christmas trees... And anything red white like candy cane...
I added in some of Heather's Gorgeous Christmas line as well... and some from the

And, for my 15 minutes today, I made a quick bunch of 3" 9 patches...
I need a whole lot more... so, I;ll do a few each day... aren't they cute and tiny?
We've been having a whole load of fun over there lately.. go check it out.

What line of Christmas fabric did you like best this year?
It's the only novelty fabric I indulge myself with.  ;-)

Happy sewing!

  1. Not king sized? Good for you! Of course, you did enough work for kind sized, just made it into two quilts. They are lovely, wonderfully festive!

  2. I don't buy holiday themed fabric usually, but if I were going to, it would have to be the Santa donkeys by Laurie Wisburn.

That bird fabric in your 9 patch quilt top is just exquisite. I've never seen that before.

  6. The beautiful 'starbirds' quilt is coming along beautifully (none of that fabulous fabric to be had anywhere - I tried!) This is the first year I've bought any Christmas fabric, (like you, I'm not a great novelty fabric person)but just couldn't resist an assortment of nostalgic red, gold & greens!

  7. I love Sherri Berrys 12 Joys of Christmas! I've got a fat quarter pack of it waiting for me to do something. In fact I'm a bit of a sucker for Christmas fabrics. Your quilts look like big beautiful wrapped presents. Im really loving your starry birdie quilt! The little 9 patches are the perfect next border!

  8. So cute all of them. Funny, I really don't have any Christmas fabric in my stash. Guess I just need to mix and match my reds and greens. You inspire!

  10. I have not bought a single piece of new Christmas fabric this year. Perhaps I'm overwhelmed with the stack I already have. Love your 15 minutes little 9 patches. Great bird fabric too.

  11. I love that bed quilt! I think my Kellie needs one like that. I haven't been fabric shopping in way way too long. This might be just the theme to shop for!

  13. Love the Christmas fabric in your quilts! But that star quilt... When you first showed that georgeous bird fabric border around the stars I couldnt see it meshing. But with the ninepatches it is spectacular! The colors come together beautifully!

  14. I'm with you, I LOVE the 12 Joys of christmas line. I bought 10 different fabrics from the line this year -- almost my only Christmas fabric and the only time I've bought a bunch from a matched line. Love all the retro cuteness in the fabrics. Your quilts look great!!!

  18. I have to confess that I don't even look at the novelty prints and particularly avoid the Christmas ones. BUT...your quilts are telling me that they deserve a look this time. Love your designs.

  19. Your Christmas quilts are really gorgeous! I love all those prints together. How fun to find all these festive red and green prints in your stash to. I bought some of Kate Spain's 12 Days of Christmas, which I really loved, but haven't cut into yet. Can't wait to find some sewing time!
