South Street Seaport...
Our Vessel for the day!
Lady Liberty
Ellis Island
What a view!
What a Field trip! I don't recall having trips like this when I was a kid!
The crew was amazing, the kids learned so much about sailing, and helping and working together...(so did the grown ups!)
The weather was fantastic!
What more can you ask for!
I'm Exhausted... but in the best way possible!
Happy Weekend!

Fabulous pictures of a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do this, when we visit, but we're either too busy or it's too cold. Maybe next week.
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS! I did this when I was in New York MANY years ago! What memories! Thanx for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! When we were in NYC 2 years ago, we took the ferry to Staten Island by mistake, then got on the right boat to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Fantastic views of the skyline. I absolutely loved NYC and can't wait to go back again someday. Thanks for the photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures.. I used to take ferry to Staten island and back to battery park..
ReplyDeletelove love love the port~
Wondeful photos.
ReplyDeleteGlad you and B had a glorious day out, and learnt about sailing too!
I've never been to NY. Beautiful views. We never had fields trips when I was little.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun! I'd be curious to know how many kids had never done this before. I'm always amazed at what kids never experience even when it's in your own backyard. Many kids around here have never been on the lake or to a dairy farm, both vital aspects of our community. Have a relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to do that! I'll have to add it to my NYC bucket list.

Always bring back wonderful memories for me whenever I see your posts on NY ! Happy weekend !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the pictures. Looks like you had a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun field trip. I am actually a descendent of the first dutch settlers there and my family has a long history of whaling and sailing, so grew up around boats.

ReplyDeleteTell B how lucky she is - I would love to take that exact same trip! I have never seen any of those places and I love sailing1
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful photos. I have just finished reading a long book called New York, by Edward Rutherfurd, so your photos gave me a better idea about parts of NY.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 frinds coming over there, later this year, one to run and one to walk the marathon and I think they go across that bridge.
