A sewing, time out.

I had intentions of working on these this weekend...

the "thought", was as far as I got...
(I really wish I had this quilt done...it's my oldest project)

Taking them out of the bag, and photographing them,
though, seemed enough work...

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

  1. You are too funny! Sometimes just taking them out is a bit of work.

  2. I have a small bin of UFOs. I try not to look at them to avoid the "guilt". Did you know they won't finish themselves!

  3. I know what you mean; I wish I didn't though.
I have found that a Finish It! approach does help, working on it every week and blog about the progress once a week. Deadlines also seem to have a impact on my will power to get things done.-)

  4. That was enough for me to be able to see what you are up to...will be a wonderful quilt.

  5. It's interesting to see that you stitch them without a template.
I make them on a template, iron it and then slipstitch them almost like english paper piecing; definetly alot of work.

  6. You are way ahead of me...I gave myself credit for working on my quilts for just thinking about working on my quilt....

  7. Oooh, hexagons! It's becoming a little obsession of mine; I'm 39 weeks pregnant and sitting at a sewing machine is all kinds of uncomfortable right now. It's easy to put my feet up, watch a little TV or read with the kids, and stitch some hexagons at the same time. I feel like I'm at least still being creative in some way!

Do you have a master plan for your project? I've made 140-odd hexagons so far, and have no idea where I'm going to end up! It's kind of fun, actually....
