Not much going on over here... My wall has three different projects on there right now, but nothing is happening... I used my scraps to whip up these random blocks just to keep the creative juices flowing, while I sew together all the other little blocks on my red cross quilt... I just got the border fabrics for that so I am back and forth on that project and this one... I want this one to just be a real hodge podge of different things... just a happy fun quilt, without trying so hard. we'll see...
It's still raining, but the kids & company are in the pool anyhow! gotta go! Happy sewing!

Oh, I love what it on your design wall. It is fascinating to follow your blog; I appreciate your creative process. I have many WIPs but am hoping to branch out into the challenge of out-of-the-box quilt design. Keep up the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThose large blooms must have shouted "create"! This one will be fun to just add and let it grow. The complementary fabrics and colors look great.
ReplyDeleteI love those flowers! When I first eyed it I thought they were tie-dyed blocks. Beautiful color choices!
ReplyDeleteI really like those flowers too. I like that you've not centered them - like they're peeking out of their box! And those flying geese...wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks, I love the way you fit the flowers in them. I also find sometimes just doing something gets you started.
ReplyDeleteJust love watching your process in creating a quilt and I LOVE that center fabric. Perfect for those blocks.

ReplyDeleteI just love this one! What would life be for a quilter if we didn't have more than one quilt at a time happening??
ReplyDeleteGoodness you have great colour sense! I always find that you combine the most unusual colours and designs and they come out super.
ReplyDeleteYeah a bit of rain in the pool is good. My kids used to do that too.
they would be wet anyway they used to say.
Ugh.. it rained like crazy here over the weekend. But now bright and sunny.. I'll try and send some of that your way. you don't want heat to go along with it.. do you?
ReplyDeleteLove your mod podge. :-)
Ok.. I'm working my wy backwards..
How fabulous are those big flowers? Cool blocks!!!
ReplyDeleteI like those blocks. The way you used the flower as the center piece is great!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome wall design!
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying your blog. I would love for you to come and visit my blog as well, www.sewingwithtrudy.blogspot.com .
My 8 year old daughter has her own sewing blog. If you would like to see what she's up to, go to www.sewingsister.blogspot.com . She is currently learning how to hand sew. In a few weeks she will start learning how machine sew. She is very excited. Her six year old brother is also featured on her blog. He has been sewing right along with us. It's been a lot of fun sharing this with them.
Regards,
Trudy
