As one of your lurkers, I love reading what you've been up to, the inspirational pep talk on going outside the comfort zone has made me think about projects already on the go, and in my head. Maybe, just maybe, I might make that bag I've been thinking about for some time. A mixture of Chubby Mummy meets Tonya!
ReplyDeleteKeep doing what you do, its great, I love the colours of your blocks. Have a great girls weekend! And good luck to everyone else too!
I lurk regularly and enjoy your blog and your quilting so much!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, Minnesota
Great giveaway:)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I hope i've got this working right, i keep getting my comment sent back to me and not showing on the comments page. why oh why do I think i can do this with 4 teenagers whining, complaining, pleading and otherwise p--ing me off? Love your blog, i visit often and love the freespirited way in which you come up with a 'plan' for a quilt.
ReplyDeleteann
I visit daily. Like the above writer though most time I leave comments on blogs I dont see them again. Likely because I really don't know what I'm doing and not yet ready to have a blog of my own. I love how you work with colours and what is around you. I love that your daughter is right along side. And so today I am not a lurker but don't know if my words will come through.
ReplyDeleteLinda P. from winnipeg -- and yes, there are floods but we are dry. lindap@mts.net
I'll enter -- mostly because I don't want you to give up posting!
ReplyDeleteJust surfing around and found your blogpost. Funny. But I never win anything, but I have to try :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics and I'm addicted to fabrics....
Just found your blog and have to get in on the giveaway. Please enter me!
ReplyDeleteSorry - Don't always have time to leave comments. I just read but I'm here!
ReplyDeleteOK! Sign me up! I visit regularly, but don't always leave comments!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Girls Weekend!
I'll be honest here....only just found your blog through the Quilter Blogs update that I too just learned about a few short days ago! But now that I found ya...I can keep an eye on ya. Enjoy your weekend away with the gal pals....boy I wish for that!!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog! I am always up for free fabric and/or the bag. Love your choices.

You are cracking me up!!! I leave you comments :) Have a Great girls weekend
ReplyDeleteHi. Yesterday was my first visit to your blog. I loved the idea of having each generation design a quilt block! I will be stopping by more regularly to see how that one turns out! Julie in WA
ReplyDeleteprjule@gmail.com
Sorry for lurking! I love your blog and read it regularly!
ReplyDeleteIf I comment regularly - do I still count? 'Cause that there is some fine looking fabric... um, yes please!
ReplyDeleteI leave comment regularly but I did look yesterday and didn't write. Still consider me really interested in what you are doing!
ReplyDeleteI'm very jealous of your girls weekend! I'd love something like that. Or frankly, even a complete weekend alone. Just me and my knitting, my sewing machine, and my pups. Hmmmm...maybe I can work something out with that?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it and we want to see pictures!
oh goodness. I am sorry. you have a great blog and are so inspirational. I am commenting, not because of the contest, but because I've had the same thing happen with my blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time seeing your blog. It's great. I found it on Quilter Blogs. Would love to entered in your giveaway. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun fabrics! The shopping bag is great. Did you use a pattern to make it or did you just wing it?
ReplyDeleteUnlurk! I LOVE that bunny rabbit fabric! I actually said OMG look at that fabric when I saw it. Please pick me, I've entered dozens of contests and never won anything!!!
ReplyDeleteWendy
Those fabrics are so yummy and springy looking, I could only hope to win. Thanks for the chance. I do like to stop by as you are always working on something interesting, Victoria....have fun this weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. Have a great girlfriend weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am a new quilter. I got hooked really fast looking at all the beautiful fabrics in the quilting stores. Oh my goodness, to have just a little bit of all the colors. Just this evening I found the quilters blogs and there you were. Maybe I too will have a blog for you to read one day. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteWell, I admit I am one of those 100 lurkers ;-) and I don't have any good excuse at hand for not commenting.... But of course I cannot resist to comment on a give-away post!
ReplyDeleteAlways love to read your inspirational posts!!
Have a wonderful girls weekend!!!
Dagmar
I read your blog quite a lot but seldom post. (Sorry about that!) I don't want to enter the giveaway as I already have a lifetime stash here. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am new to these Blogs. Lots of times I try to leave comments and they don't go thru. Love reading all the posts though. You are very generous to have this giveaway. Now let's see if this makes it thru!!
ReplyDeleteI tend to read and not leave comments. I have enjoyed reading your blog and the only thing that keeps me from it is time with my granddaughter. You could have asked for comments without a giveaway and I would have responded. I love to see the line and color in your photos and to see just what project you will come up with next.
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to celebrate being a liberated quilter! Love the bag.
ReplyDeleteoh what fun it would be to make a quilt using your fabrics!!!
ReplyDeleteoh sorry I do visit your blog all the time, somedays I just read and don't comment, sorry
will do better :)
I really enjoy reading your blog and enjoy seeing your work, Love that you work outside the box!
I would love to more of that , keep it up!
your blog inspires me
Kathie
I love the ideas on quilting. Thanks for the great ideas.
ReplyDeleteAre you happy? A lot of comment today! ;-)....yes, because the women are practical people!
ReplyDeletenichi
ACK! one can never have too much fabric. Thanks for sharing! have a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is awesome and I consider it my morning coffee! Keep on being your inspiring self please! Loved yesterday's post. I usually make quilts from my own calculations - not necessarily original blocks, but I'm not a pattern buyer. Instead I get inspired by something, a picture, a fabric or idea. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteForgive me for being one of the lurkers! I read your posts over at Quilter Blogs and pop in when the title or opening sentences interest me...I love pictures and organization ideas; recipes and gardening besides quilting. So those are things that will draw me like a moth to a flame! LOL. You are being read....
ReplyDeleteOk, ok, so I lurk. Pictures draw me in to read the text. If there's a lot of text with no pictures, I'm less likely to read the whole thing. Well, now I've probably lost out on the freebies by being so open. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCute bag - beautiful fabric. I just found your blog last week and have been checking in every day to see what's up.
ReplyDeleteWell, heck. I thought I left a comment yesterday. I think you sent me off to Amy and I forgot to come back and comment. What I wanted to say was that I love the colors in the family quilt. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteBusted. I totally need to work on my leaving comments mojo. Hello! I love your blog. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeletePretty! What is the yellow floral on the far end from?
ReplyDeleteamaryllis_wings@yahoo.ca
I don't lurk, I comment - when I get to stop by! It's hard sometimes to keep up with all our blog friends, but I love your blog and your work! Keep it! And I can't wait to hear details of your girls weekend! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHello, my name is Tina and I'm a lurker. That's the first step, right? I really liked the 4 blocks in the last post. I totally would have paper-pieced your niece's block. That's how I roll. I haven't attempted any free-piecing yet.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Seriously, this is hilarious! You know I love and follow you religously...
ReplyDeleteMy browser doesn't like opening your site (I read it in Google Reader). It took me about ten minutes to leave this comment. Maybe it's the music in the blog? Not sure, 'cause some I have no problem opening, others my browser just doesn't like!
I do know how frustrating the no comment thing can get though. And, hey, being a former design and art history student, I love the posts about color and inspiration!
You'll get plenty of comments today! Thanks for the chance for the lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWell you know me, I always visit, always comment and know the importance of it. I've been quilting for a year and I just had my first giveaway to my friends in quilting blog land who have been there to inspire and encourage me for the past year. I never knew it would be so much fun to visit everyone and how much we love having someone comment to our blog efforts.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great girl weekend....
Your stuff looks really appealing
I will confess I am a lurker. Love the bag, fabulous give away.
ReplyDeleteI visit, and I comment, and that is a cool give-away. Enjoy your girls' time away!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a give away to bring the lurkers out! *blush* I've been thinking for days about your working outside the box post - wondering what to give a go. Maybe I should follow the advice of the post I just read and stop thinking about it so much and just do!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a lurker that loves your site. Have a great trip. Love your give away.
ReplyDeletei am a housewife who does little but quilt while my wonderful, handsome husband goes off to work. i would absolutely love more fabric to keep me busy.
ReplyDeletecrysbuehler@mac.com
Hi, I always read but don't always comment! Sorry - you write about 2 of my favorite things - quilts and NYC. Don't want this to be too long because I tend to get carried away on comments, but did you get to see the Dear Jane quilt that was raffled by Empire Quilters? I almost made the trip from VA just to see that quilt! Thanks for all of the inspirations and fun your blog provides! I will comment much more often! Debbie
ReplyDeleteI don't get here (your blog) as often as I want and don't usually leave a comment. But, I do like your blog and your quilts. Your creativity is amazing! It keeps me coming back.
ReplyDeleteI like the Matisse quilt -- very warm and vibrant. thanks for the chance at the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for lurking, can you ever forgive me? I promise to say hi when I stop by from now on :)

Hiya Bumble Beans, I just found your blog by a rather circuitous route. I was actually searching for the Stitches and Craft Fair site on google, and for some crazy reason can't seem to find it. Anyway, I found "The Fabric Shoppper" blog, and being addicted to fabric, I just had to go and have a look, and I found your blog there! So, now that I'm here, "Hello!" I hope you have a fab girly weekend away, and I hope I win your lovely bag and some extra fabric for my stash (not that I really need it, but what's NEED got to do with it, right?) :-)
