Just one of those days?
Have you ever had the feeling it just wasn't a quilting day?
I don't consider myself a ditzy person, but after today, I may have to rethink that...
FIRST:
I was working on this little project, and had all my little squares cut, I put one together, with the light brown, and the plaid, and then I looked at everything I had and thought, OK, another light brown with the brighter blue.
(point being they should all be different)
SECOND TRY:
So I sew and realize after I've finished and pressed, that I just did another block EXACTLY the same Block!
THIRD TRY:
AND I DID IT AGAIN!
WOW! I'm to annoyed to even think about ripping them apart... they may end up as they are, or not at all. HA! that will teach me!
Then I was just at City quilter, and found this little scrap that would work really nice with this other project I was procrastinating... I paid $1 for a 1/2 yard piece. SUPER DEAL! So, not a lot of fabric,
I can get two strips of 5" out of the piece. (need 5" square cut for triangles)
So what do I do?
I cut it in two 4" strips.
So much for my SUPER DEAL!~
boo hoo.
I think I am done for today.
(I am actually laughing about this, even though I could be pulling out my hair)
Been there, done that! on more than one occasion! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours you are using on this project! I think we have all had days like that. Sometimes the mistakes can be quite serendipitous and I end up loving it more that way.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that kill you when you do stuff like that? Just turn it into a wonderful mishap!
ReplyDeleteIf you make enough blocks the ones that are the same will blend in. (I never would have noticed if you had not pointed them out...)
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are great! And Calico Cat has it right - you just need to make more blocks! Good luck - I hope the next ones go the way you want!
ReplyDeletep.s. I've done this too. Not Fun.
