A Garden For All Seasons.

"A Garden For All Seasons" is a 9' X 30' Quilt that I finished up this week!  Along with a few other goodies! This quilt is a public Art piece that I made to hang in a building here in NYC... It will also be on view at Paducah Quilt Fest end of April!  I have a large exhibit of Double Wedding Ring quilts this year along with this quilt, and I will also be in the JUKI booth, teaching a class, and giving lecture!  Come say hi!  I'll also do a few walking tours on the quilt exhibit in the Main Pavilion.

As you can imagine a quilt this big took a few hands to help me manage it under the needle!
Shelly quilted it on her Long Arm, and her usually fabulous way! I set up five tables to be able to keep the quilt up even with my machine while sewing on the binding...It took two bobbins to sew on the binding all the way around!

We've certainly had a bit of fun with it.... There is a video of this on my Instagram account.  I made this quilt using my LARGE HEXAGON Acrylic template set available in my website shop.

Now I wish I had a wall big enough to hang it here! hahaha...
It's a garden that makes me happy, and smile all year long!

I'm off to Japan...

Pics will come when I return! Jenny Egg will have a fabulous time with our house guest, and I will come home in time for my Birthday!

So on behalf of my Birthday, I'd like to do a giveaway of my Large Hexagon and triangle template set.

Leave me comment about your favorite color.

I'll draw a winner on march 29th 5pm.

Make sure I can reach you!

  13. I've had several favorites through the years. Blue has always stayed up at or near the top with red sometimes winning over blue. Green and purple have had their time to shine and right now aqua/turquoise seems to be taking over. I've been sewing for over 50 years! I used to hate orange and now it may become the next in line to be at the top of the heap! Love color! One question about the wonderful hexie quilt. Your explanation of where it will hang, I could not quite interpret: "This quilt is a public Art piece that I made to hang in building her win NYC... " Where is it going?
