This morning I had an email that a family member had some health issues, and had already had the surgery, and we are waiting to hear if she will need chemo... so I grabbed an anvil quilt top I had together, and got it ready to quilt, before I leave for market...
I then ran out to take the hubby out to lunch for his Birthday! It was so nice outside, it was hard to come back in the studio... Central Park is so nice and green!!!
It's a beautiful quilt! Do you see one of your blocks in this quilt?
BTW, I have enough Anvil blocks to last me a bit, so thank you. ( thank you Helen for piecing a few tops for me out of the block!)
In the meantime, I have a couple quilts to bind quickly, and get 5 more quilt sleeves sewn on...
And pick up Shelly from the airport, and pack for Pittsburgh Quilt Market! YAY!!! (Shelly, your bed is under/next to the design wall, I think you will have busy quilty dreams!)
I just LOVE this quilt... look at all that scrappy goodness!!!
What a wonderful quilt! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts go out to your family member. Have a great time in Pittsburgh! I was there a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, cheerful quilt! So wonderful to have one almost ready for an emergency like that. One of the best things about quilting, I think, is that at those hard times, when there's otherwise nothing you can do for somebody; if you're a quilter, you can make and gift a quilt. A quilt is always a good gift!
ReplyDeleteLove the jewel tone colors, and the overall flow is so vibrant. Just what is needed after a very long, long winter that we have had this year. Love you quilting design too. Enjoy market!
ReplyDeleteHi there Victoria,
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog so much! I was wondering where I could find the basic Anvil block pattern? If you have the time to drop me a line, that would be great!
thanks so much,
