Day of rest

If you are going to the City Quilter event for the Quilters take Manhattan
you will see the finished product there.
 ;-)

12 Years ago today, Hubby and I wed on the lawn, here at our house...
I can't believe it's been 12 years. (16 in total...Time flies when you are having fun! )
We celebrated by having this lazy day! ;-)

Happy Anniversary

Hubby!

xoxo

We had a nice lazy day today. Went out for lunch with my family, then Hubby, very sweetly,
took Boo to see the Harry Potter movie...  I'm not a fan of the Harry Potter movies... They put me straight to sleep....so I stayed home and did some hand work on the above little piece.

I was sitting by the pool sewing, and I hear ," scratch scratch scratch",
I look up and there is a TURTLE trying to climb out of the pool!
His nails were scratching the walls! Poor thing!
I ran over, he ducked inside and bobbed up and down in his little shell in the water...
he he!
I picked him and and set him off in the woods so the dogs wouldn't bother him.

I was about to jump in the pool too! Wouldn't that have been a nice surprise to
find I had a swimming buddy! LOL!

I got out the signature blocks and laid them outside on the deck so I could see how many I had,
 and work out the arrangement.
I have the rows sewn together, next I lad them on my bed to see what will happen in between...
It will be pretty simple I think... the Column fabric in between, and then I will work on a
really nice border to go all around...

They look good already just laying on the quilt I have! I will only need borders down the
left and right sides. Maybe some squares on point...
Can you see the quilt will go right to the floor! 6 rows of 16 blocks each.
More of a bed spread really!

Hope your Sunday was a cool lazy one!
What were you doing today?

  22. Happy anniversary...I love your hand stitching on the quilt, embroidery is almost a meditation for me. Love the story about the turtle in the pool! PS You don't know how good you just made me feel...I thought I was the only person in the world that didn't get on the H. Potter bandwagon.
