MN wknd: back to NYC

Might not have been the warmest, but it didn't stop us from
having a glorious weekend in Minnesota.
It was so quiet. And if there was any noise, like geese honking or loons looning,
it was music to my ears.
Boo celebrated her BIRTHDAY in a big way! Go karts, bumper boats, mini golf, and a movie!
(DQ ice cream cake, Thanks Grandma!)

Yes, I took a mini nap during Kung Fu Panda 2... (can you blame me?)
TAG! is the most exhausting game, I swear!
While I planted a few more flowers around my cabin, we found a lot of worms,
which then lead to fishing...

And some Birthday shopping... which included a QUICK stop to the goodwill for
some Half priced men's shirts... ( hey, I get to have some QUILTING fun too!)

Friends, Birthday treats and fun!  It was a glorious weekend....
Hope your's was swell too!

I did manage a few applique stitches...( Few being the key word:-)
 Did you get to sew?

Love the quilt on the bed and I can't wait to see what you will do with those shirts. I am sure it will be spectacular!

  2. No sewing here. Your weekend might not have been warm but ours was HOT! The air conditioning broke. Now I know why there aren't a lot of southern quilts. We were thinking they got buried with the silver but it was just too darn hot to sew. The lake looks soooo inviting.

  11. I used to live at a lake in Texas. How I miss it. I DID get to sew some this weekend for a block exchange I'm in. Check out my blog to see what I worked on. I was pinning blocks while we sat around the fire pit on Monday night.
