Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, 2016
Level: All Levels
3-Day Workshop |
Learn Victoria’a clever, quick, and VERY EASY way to piece a very difficult "looking" Lemoyne star by just using 6.5" squares! Cut, splice, adapt, and play until you've made your own exciting design! Learn those Y seams, Build your decision-making skills and have FUN opening up a greater palette of techniques for your quilters tool box! This is a very playful experimental class, no two quilts will look alike.
Victoria got her fine art training at the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, MN and says she is a painter at heart. She moved to NYC right after graduating to pursue a career as an artist, but somehow found herself pulled back to her sewing roots - her father had an upholstery business and her mother and grandmother were avid quilt makers.
Victoria's approach to QUILTING is very much the way she draws. She uses warm up exercises to get her started... 15 minutes at a time...15 minutes of "play" and inevitably a QUILT idea emerges!
