RJR Cotton Supreme Giveaway.

Victoria Findlay Wolfe quilt, using mini wave Sizzix die cut, and RJR cotton supremes.




Way back before Spring Quilt Market, I received a nice bundle of RJR's Cotton Supreme's to play with!  I picked out a wide variety of colors I thought would be oozing color!
You know I can't just use one color, I need 50!  So limiting my self to this stack was hard enough!  So many choices!
And!
It was perfect timing to make up a quilt, using my SIZZIX MINI WAVE DIE as well!


Sometimes keeping it simple is just the trick!
...and perhaps, my daughter who happened to be watching The Partridge Family may have had some influence...
Maybe.  Ha!


I wanted a bright palette, some nice darks and adding in a few that are almost neon to bounce that color up a notch!  Using my Sizzix Wave die, I could quickly cut out all my shapes in no time at all, and spend loads of time just playing laying them out in an arrangement I was happy with! FUN! PLAY!

    My favorite color has always been blue. For a greater part of my life it was a true blue. However, now I have changed to loving a blue that leans toward green- like the blue water of the Caribbean. I fell in love with the color while painting (art) and that color is Pthalo Blue Green Shade in Golden Acrylics. The color feels so rich and warm (contrary to color theory where it would fall in the "cool" category.) It always makes me happy.

    Right off the top of my head I'd say orange but I do wear a fair bit of turquoise, too.

    Blue has always been my favorite color, but the exact blue varies over time. That has more to do with color availability than with a desire to change.

    My favorite changes frequently enough that my five year old regularly asks "what's your favorite color today, Mommy?" But, plum and emerald rise to the top pretty consistently.

    I've almost never met a colour that was not a personal favourite. Usually I lean to the ocean blues and aquas or red/orange/pinks but then yellow is so wonderful and the garden is full of fantastic greens, see, there you go It would be lovely to win that bundle.

    I never really decided on a particular color; but, kept gravitating towards purple. when I married Dan, I purposely made green my second favorite because it's his favorite color. Actually, it is almost equal to purple. My third favorite is orange as I tend to gravitate towards that a lot too. :-)

    Green hands down, at least since I was little when it was pink. Green is the color of the forest, and fields so it just makes me happy. I love to combine green with purple, sometimes blue in my quilts. Thanks you for the opportunity to win that group of solids I would so enjoy cutting them up into a quilt!!!

    I think I have recently rediscovered that red violet is one of my favorite colors. I have used it lots over the past two years.....sometimes without even realizing that's why I put a particular fabric in a quilt. In pondering this (because had you asked me this question years back I would have said blues or greens) I remembered how much I loved using the red violet crayon in my box of crayons when I was a child. It's either that or my vision is receding! :-) Thanks for the chance to win the fabric. Your quilt is awesome........as usual!

    My favorite color was blue for many years, and I still love it. In the last few years of quilting though, red is my new favorite. I just love the spark a bit of it gives, and who couldn't fall in love with it after the red and white quilt exhibition!

    I love the blues -- those very light and those very bright. Whan I am designing a project, I tend to go with just one color but many shades and tomes of that color.

    My favorite is now red. My favorite used to be pink, and I wonder if I simply continued to walk down that road. What is interesting to me is that orange used to be my "I hate that" color and now I have a secret crush on it. I am embarrassed by the idea that I've been influenced by pop culture, but I suppose it is inevitable. I've seen enough orange, in enough places, with enough other colors, that finally I have become comfortable with a color I used to detest. (Back in the Partridge Family days of my childhood.)

    My favourite colour has always been blue. Even as a child, I preferred blue dresses.

    I think Blue and White is the crispest, cleanest freshest look ever and we have lots of B&W china and linen in bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. But I have come to like the look of some bright colours alongside my B&W - a current favourite is a cheerful pink.

    Purple is my favorite. I can't remember how long that's been a favorite, but I love pinks and blues, too. I do think I painted my bedroom lavender when I was about 8. And my bedroom now is orchid. This is a great quilt! Thanks!

    Blue always has been and always will be my favorite color. Yes, there was a short time in elementary school when purple edged its way in, but it is part of the blue family! I don't like the light, baby or sky blue options; I much prefer the deep moody blues. Funny, I have not made a blue quilt, for I love using many colors in quilts.

    I change my mind periodically - every time my 3 yr old grand daugher asks me what my favorite is - currently we are agreeing on orange. She kills me. She loves a big box of color crayons. I love her.

    I would pick orange. In the Indian chakra system, orange is the color of the second chakra which represents our creativity and sexuality. I find this a very powerful combination of energies. I like orange that is deep, bright, and feels like it is emitting a warm glow.

    I have ALWAYS loved orange so in this bundle Carrot would be my fave. I think every other color looks better with orange. I used to love neon orange. The brighter the better. Now any orange is just awesome and will find friends at my house.

    ever since I've been a little girl I have loved green and my sister always blue. Seems to be the same today as adults. I love that martini olive color. Guess I've grown from green kool aid to martini olive now, lol. thank you...

    I love me mellow yellow, that's right! I think its only changed a little over time, maybe lighter, clearer in the past, now leaning toward velveeta, cheddar and mustard.

    Yellow family because they play so nicely with all colors. Yellows look great with blues, browns, reds, purples, greens and black. When making a scrap quilt yellow always adds the pop.

    The past few years I have had a crush on RED....with orange following close behind. I am of the opinion that some kind of red in a quilt....no matter if it's just a bit or a whole lot....nearly always gives that quilt a pop that is eye-catching. RED just makes me happy!

    My absolute favorite color is chartreuse; you’ll find at least a bit of it in almost every one of my quilts. A little darker than lime, and a little lighter than olive, chartreuse is a bold and complex color that adds punch to almost any color palette.

    For years, red was my favorite but in the last few years, I have been loving most shades of blue with aqua and orange thrown in. Not sure why the change but some years it's subdued colors but now it is full on bright color-maybe it will go back to red. Wonder, wonder what's next! gdavidhoffman@yahoodotcom

    Blue was my favorite color forever until the "Have your colors done" fad hit in the early 70's. I went to have mine done and said just don't tell me I am an Autumn because I don't like oranges and browns. Well, guess what I was? Yep. At first I just gritted my teeth and gave alway all my blue clothes. Now I can't imagine not liking those colors. Yeah for oranges and browns.

    Boxwood green for me at the moment. My favorite color changes now and then. Usually it's Caribbean Sea aqua. Sometimes pink. I love to quilt with solids.

    My "favorites" change depending on what, I don't always know. Right now looking at your Sizzix color palette, the one(s) I am most drawn to are the hot pink magenta, and I would pair it with that soft pink. It is fun to think about winning some colors to play with!

    Orange! When I was younger my aunt and uncle gave our family some beach towels and my brothers and I fought over the orange one. I have always wondered if I loved orange and that's why I fought for it or if it became a favorite after it was suddenly so desirable! I do tend to like reds, oranges, pinks, golds, better than blues.

    Royal blue, at least for apparel. Brings out the blue in my eyes. As a child, my favorite was purple. I cannot think of a color I don't like though.
