2 minutes to be crafty...

I loved my mouse pad that I covered a long time ago (3years ago!) (for fun see old posts here to see what else I was doing that day)... I fused material on top of some goofy mouse pad that came in some gag gift...  I had this great pink skull fabric on it.... But it's now faded, and peeling off, and timeworn update...
I peeled off the old fabric, got out my misty fuse, covered and cut the shape out, grabbed some of my SONNET fabric line, (shipping to LQS's late sept. I do believe)
Laid it on the pad, ironed it on....
That old post also shows WHY I use an Oliso iron now.... I do not pull this iron off my table easily when it stays int eh down position... love that feature!)
...trimmed it off with my Havels rotary cutter...

and ta-da!  Instant gratification in about 2 minutes time...  Love that!

  1. I have been thinking I need a new mousepad....but clearly all I need is an "upcycle" on my existing pad. (say, that mouse looks a lot like mine!

  2. Can hardly wait to get my hands on your new Sonnet fabric. I already have plans for it...

  3. I went back to your old post and noticed the burn marks -- I knocked my iron off the board two years ago and sported an iron-shaped burn on my arm for the rest of the summer.

  4. Thank you so much, I just finished redoing my mouse pad. It was maroon(really almost black from dirt) and now it's a darling grey & pink flowered pasley.

  7. Oh your very own fabric ...where else can we buy your fabric line if we don't have a LQS? Anyone online? Jackie?
Congratulations! You've waited a long time for this to come out :0)

  8. What a great idea. I use an ugly old mouse pad that was hubbys, from 15+ years ago. I'll have to try this. Thanks.
