Kathy Doughty, (Material Obsession) Kath, and Carolyn,(fabulous pals of Kathy and help at the store)each of which are amazing quilters too....and Liza Lucy (glorious color & KAFFE) stopped by for lunch, and a chat. Sunday I'm heading up to QBL, (Quilting by the lake) with a few of my friends, Helen, Lisa, and Encyclopedia to crash kathy's class. ;-) We're going to go cause her some trouble! Have some girl sewing time, YAY! So much fun. They AU gals had been visiting Liza last night, and all came in today so we could catch up. Sunday will be the road trip north! FUN!!!
You can see we had a a good time, watch the video!
Kath is going to take Rosalie Dace's class, and Carolyn is taking Jane Sassaman's class, so they will have a great time too! Totally jealous, love both of those amazing quilters. AND, If you come NEXT YEAR, I will be teaching as well! (so go sign up!) ;-)
If you are coming up to QBL, or if you are already there, (a few pals are there now) I also have a quilt in the teacher exhibit at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art center! Yes, My Quilters Play Manhattan quilt is there... so swing by and see!

ReplyDeleteoh yes, and it really is 4:15 am on Friday morning. And yes, I'm sitting here reading your blog!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was at QBL yesterday for the tour day. A great way to see all the instructors and classrooms. Everyone was very sharing. Some people told me that you were visiting next week and were excited. Would love to take a class, but for the cost. I am going to apply for a scholarship. The quilt show was smaller for some reason this year. Always buy some of Judy Robertson's hand dyes.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous time!! Very green!
ReplyDeleteWell, color me jealous! We missed you in DC, girlfriend, but I guess if you are heading to QBL you can't be two places at once. Have a fabulous time and I'll see you soon.
