My guest!

My guest today!
Boo makes her debut.  ;-)
As more blocks come in,I am updating THIS post with the names I've rcvd from... In couple days I will show you all the extra blocks that I will make into another quilt as well... It's good to have one on hand for giving!

Tomorrow(Wednesday), tune into Mark Lipinski's Creative MojoI'm heading over to Pickle Road to host with Mark, for Wednesday's show! Time to go see what's up with Mr. Mark, Did you hear he is FINALLY getting his Kidney! March 27th! YAY!

(I should do a video at pickle road, right?)  ;-)

Here's some of the quilts from the Magnolia Plantation to drool over!

 1825.
This quilt is in the collection of the Magnolia Plantation. It is thought to have been made in NY. Quite beautiful. The top is quilt faded, but considering how old it is, it's in amazing condition!

These are some other quilts from around the house... These are period pieces not original quilts to the plantation... Interesting center pattern on this quilt...

  2. Have fun mojo hosting with Mark! Quilting Mojo is my no 1 podcast. I save them up for when I'm travelling or doing other boring stuff. People probably think I'm some kind of crazy when I'm giggling and laughing out loud and I don't care even a little bit. I am so happy to hear he's finally getting his kidney!!

  10. Boo is "catching" your compassion for those in need...such a wonderful trait to be passed down to the next generation!

I visited Magnolia Plantation some years back, but I didn't think to photograph the quilts. Duh! I did get the tree-high rhododendrons however. You should go back when they are all in bloom. Worth another visit...and the She-crab soup in Charleston is to die for!

  14. Boo is so sweet! I can see the love between you two! The quilt looks great and I can see my blocks! So nice to have enough blocks for another quilt! The sock monkey cracked me up! I made sock monkeys for awhile and have my rock t-shirt leather pant dressed sock monkey on my bed. I had one when I was a little girl, but I don't know what happened to him. I think that is why I love them so much!

  16. Hi, Boo, great to see you and hear you too. Love how you were draped round your mum's shoulder, that was so nice to see. Have a great day.

  17. What a lovely young woman! I know you are happy and proud to have her. Sounds like her free motion quilting is better than mine! Of course, that's not hard. Something about it makes me freeze up with stage fright. That bug eyed sock monkey makes me smile, too, but she's right, a little creepy - in a fun way.

  18. thanks Boo for sharing your pretty self with us. is it not amazing how youngsters can pick up on what seems so very difficult and awkward for adults and they just fly with it. i was terrified when i first started fmq, (i researched the heck out of it) maybe i needed a teenager teacher!!
