Up close and VERY personal

 Just how close was nature? Sometimes not more than 3 feet away...(always inside a vehicle)

breath taking... a FAT BELLIED field of lions... once they feast, they sleep all day....




 Yep, you can see just how close he came to us... I slid very slowly to the other side of the vehicle!


 Dung beetle rolling his lump of dung...  eeew!

 Hyena...passed the road behind our land cruiser...
3 feet from our car....

Just outside my window

 Thankfully this guy was plenty far away...


This giraffe was just at the edge of the main road....
Close enough to see the flies on their faces...
And close enough to see the feast.
Or just after the feast....

    Again... I am in awe of these photos!! They are awesome!! Love the baby in the first pic and yes... Eeeew with the dung beetle!

    oh those flies on the lion - how uncomfortable! love the baby monkey. the animals sure do get close to the car don't they-I bet your daughter had a blast seeing all of those so close

    I am enjoying a virtual trip with you and your family.
    We went to a safari park when I was younger, but I can only imagine being there and seeing the wildlife in their natural surroundings.

    Elephants get to my heart like no other animals. They seem like such gentle giants...helpless almost with their size.

    The poor lion with the flies...it looks very cruel.
