Just how close was nature? Sometimes not more than 3 feet away...(always inside a vehicle)
|
breath taking... a FAT BELLIED field of lions... once they feast, they sleep all day.... |
Yep, you can see just how close he came to us... I slid very slowly to the other side of the vehicle!
Dung beetle rolling his lump of dung... eeew!
Hyena...passed the road behind our land cruiser...
|
3 feet from our car.... |
|
Just outside my window |
Thankfully this guy was plenty far away...
|
This giraffe was just at the edge of the main road.... |
|
Close enough to see the flies on their faces... |
|
And close enough to see the feast. |
Or just after the feast....
Again... I am in awe of these photos!! They are awesome!! Love the baby in the first pic and yes... Eeeew with the dung beetle!

ReplyDeleteIf you get a few minutes, watch the TED Talk online called The Dance of the Dung Beetle. It's a wonderful talk and explains their behavior.
Elephants get to my heart like no other animals. They seem like such gentle giants...helpless almost with their size.
ReplyDeleteThe poor lion with the flies...it looks very cruel.
Again...Wow..what pictures~!
