X'd quilt complete

I am happy to say I finally got this quilt, quilted, and bound!  Do you remember this one? This was done with my friend Janet, and we improved TWO quilts at the same time, round robin style...(So we'd each have one similar)  Once is easy enough to do, but to do it TWICE, similar, is kind of tricky!  So...There are two quilts that are nearly identical, but not quite...

I had every intention of hand quilting this one... But I know me, and I know my STACK of quilts here, and I really wanted to snuggle up in this one...( I didn't want to wait another couple years to get it done!)

You can see the original post HERE.  It's fun to see the two together... Now I must see how Janet is doing on hers!

  1. Perfect quilt. The colors are deep and my eyes keep charting on to new blocks. Really, really like it. I can certainly see why you couldn't wait to snuggle up with it.

  5. Did you end up using that beautiful green and orange African Dutch wax fabric on the back? I love African Dutch wax fabric! I can't get enought of them! I will be posting a baby quilt tomorrow that I am giving away today made from the ADW fabrics.

  6. P.S. your quilt turned out great. I expecially love the border fabrics - the orange and yellow polka dot with the turquoise stripe on the opposite side - brave and very cool!!!
