FINISHED!

Susan's Quilt is DONE! (back story here) Packed, and shipping off today!  THANK YOU to all who contributed to this quilt! Michele came by yesterday to see it and helped with the quilt label before we shipped it off. I think Michele is very happy with it, and please know she THANKS ALL OF YOU, PROFUSELY! She thinks Susan will be very touched...Sincere gratitude to all of you.

Maryellen's block arrived in the nick of time and became part of the quilt label!  Hoodie sent a LEAF from her collection, so I used that as a FLAP!  Pick up the flap and there is a special label from Michele to Susan.  It's very sweet! Isn't the backing fabric a fun happy print!  (Hop over to Hoodie's also to see our group quilt that is in Festival at Houston this year!)

Have a great weekend!
I'm off to clean up for tomorrows, NYC Metro MOD meeting!

What three colors remind you of fall? Is it the obvious ones? Or something else?
This quilt reminds me of a HAPPY sunny fall day, like today... Sunny and will hit 80 degrees, yet the leaves are starting to change, so everything has a rosy glow!

  2. The quilt is just awesome! The blocks are amazing. Is this the fastest you've pulled together a comfort quilt? Very good job, Victoria!!
My three fall colors.......can't do it....LOL! I like all of these in the fall........orange, yellow, red, purple, green, brown, black. Rarely put blue in my autumn projects. I like that in spring and summer stuff. Enjoy the sunny and 80's. It's 37 here in southern MN. Think it might be a wee bit cooler in Duluth. Fall is definitely here with winter trying to rush in too quickly!

  11. The quilt is beautiful. Everyone made such beautiful blocks and you did a great job putting them together and quilting it all. My favorite colors all seem to be fall colors, rusty oranges and reds, plumbs, magentas, olives, and that wonderful orangy brown that only seems to exist in nature. Just three? Not possible.

  15. Great project in record time. This reminds me of a wonderful set of sampler blocks our group put together years ago for a sick friend. It, too, was sashed, quilted, and bound in record time and became a cherished family keepsake. This brings back a warm memory of kinship as well as a few tears.
