Jay LOVE

OH INSPIRATION! Jay MacCarroll knows I'm a huge fan of his fabric lines. I am so happy to see he has another NEW line out called CENTER CITY. I love florals, But I REALLY LOVE things that are not floral.  His last line of Habitat, I used a huge amount of yadage from it... All time favorites for me... This line, makes me completely giddy!

LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIES!!  DRESS? BAG? QUILT? ALL OF THE ABOVE?? I'll be buying bolts... This stuff rocks my world. I am all excited over this! Amazing backgrounds fun! tween, Boys, girls, it works for all! I'm sure I will have a quilt top from this, done, before the day is out...LOL!

Check out his video on the collection:

Boo was helping outside today, sort through my fabric bins.... She had help,

and then...

She had two helpers. ;-)

It's been a very productive week...

How about you? Getting anything "fun" done this week?

  2. We have been braving Hurricane Isaac in Baton Rouge, LA. Kept electricity the whole time, some miracle indeed! So I quilted my Plaid Shirt Bargello and listened to the shingles fly from the roof!

  4. I think the upper fabric in your second photo would be great for a dress. I'm actually getting a good bit done this week, in my slow, plodding way!

  6. Haven't been sewing so much as having ideas cooking and popping up in my head! Might have a plan for my color blocks - I love them so much, I want the setting to really work.
Love those fabrics, and great seeing a new post! Always fun to see what you're up to!

  7. Got together with my sewing buddies for a sew-and-chat afternoon. So nice to get away from the desk for a few hours (and get some hand-sewing done).

My stash is full of 3-yard lengths purchased with possible dress futures in mind. Visions outnumber finishes by a good amount around here.

  8. Love the Jay fabric! It is so out of the box! I can't wait to see what you do with it. I am going to have to find a source to buy some of this myself! This week has been all about exercising and quilting the wedding quilt for my brother and his future wife. Have a great Labor Day!

  9. The dogs crack me up...our little Yorkie/Poodle does the same thing. Her favorite is a little tub filled with batting scraps.

  13. Great Jay MacC fabric - I would love to see it in real life. This week I've been catching up with friends after several weeks of holidaying and (Edinburgh) festivalling, made one coffee mat (mug rug) and am about to start finishing a Round Robin piece.
