I brought a quilt to sleep under in my hotel room... I'm thinking I will
always do this from here on out...All it takes to make this room feel
like home, is to wrap up in a homemade quilt.
During hospital time, I finally gave in and downloaded some new apps....
Instagrams... how fun are they?
Some of my goodies from Roseann's shop, and Millie P's ,
and a few from Quilted Treasures . Ideas are developing!
Guess who busted out today?
Cardio rehab underway!
That's wonderful! I'm happy your mom is doing so well!
ReplyDeleteSo glad for you both! Yes a homemade quilt from home was a good idea!
ReplyDeleteGood for your Mom! So glad she is on the road to recovery. And you'll be on the road home soon, too. I take my favorite flannel quilt along whenever possible. Just makes me sleep better. :-)
ReplyDeleteI havn't taken a quilt traveling but did take one to rehab when I had my hip done a couple years ago.

Glad you are on your way home! So glad to hear that Mom is on her way to rehab! Whew, a relief!
ReplyDeleteYour mom looks great after what she's just been through. I know you have been such a comfort to her. I too have taken a quilt along on a trip before...it's wonderful to wrap up in something that is yours.
ReplyDeleteGreat news about your mom. Here's hoping she's able to dance the jig in no time. :o)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear about your Mom, that is wonderful
ReplyDeletenews.
Excellent news! I have been thinking of you both - continued best wishes all around!
ReplyDeleteGreat going, V's mom! You are doing so well and I am so happy for your entire happy that you are on the mend! Love your quilt idea for hotel rooms, V! One of the things Dr. Oz says about hotels is never, ever lay on top of or frankly, use, their quilts. They are horrificly gross with germs. AND always bring a baggie for the tv remote or spray with lysol. Makes me cringe now that I know those things;) But 'mom' you are out and hopefully free of negative germs and may you only get better and better!
ReplyDeletegood wishes sent your way - and so happy that your mom is on the mend! I love the idea of taking one of your quilts to the hotel ... just be sure to run it through the hot dryer when you get home (bedbugs!!!!)
ReplyDeleteYay for busting out! Woo hoo!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLife is good!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMom is looking good!!! So glad she is on to the next step.
ReplyDeleteI always take at least one quilt with me when I travel, just makes me feel comfy and cozy. Glad you are home and everything went so well! ox
Great news indeed! Glad to see your Mom looking well, and making great prgress :) x
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Mom is out of the hospital! I had a hospital stay myself in November and I knew I was on the mend when I was on my way out the front door. Love the goodies you bought! Lots of pattern and color!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Mom's doing better. The "bring your own quilt" idea is AWESOME, and so worth stealing, although it may require a larger suitcase for those of us not good at traveling light.
ReplyDeleteYour Mom looks great. Out and smiling!
ReplyDeleteHugs!!
So happy your Mom is doing well! Mine is 93 this year and I plan to see her soon.
ReplyDeleteI can tell by your smile that your Mom is doing well! Our prayers were heard. I bring quilts and pillows if I can. There's nothing like one's own bed!
ReplyDeleteHome is always good!
ReplyDeleteGlad your Mom is on the mend. Going home is always great. Looks like you managed to get in some fun stuff too. Great fabric, meeting a friend, playing with your computer. I know it will be good to get home again.
ReplyDeleteoh lots of love to you and her.
ReplyDeletebig prayers and hugs.
Best wishes to your Mom & you.
ReplyDeleteHi: I have been reading your blog for a few months now and although I'm not usually much of a commenter (shy, you know) I just wanted to say that I am so thrilled your mom is doing better. As a cardiac patient myself I can identify with her journey to recovery and I hope she continues to make slow but steady progress. Take care and happy sewing!
