Before I left this morning, I had to take 15 minutes to sew some fabric together, or I'd go crazy.... I made one large block and then cut it into quarters... I'm now waiting for inspiration to strike... I just needed to MAKE and SEW something.... or I start to hyperventilate!
Oh... and I a few minutes to chain a few more HST's... Because then I was all excited to sew, and well, I ran out the door so I wouldn't be late!
So now I am home, and I have so many ideas I don't know where to begin... Paralyzed by choices!
Does that happen to you?
Boy, I know about that itching feeling of needing to sew! Your 15 minutes philosophy is so good for that.
ReplyDeleteVictoria....were you hyperventilating and that's why they didn't want you for the jury? lol I'm betting there's more than one person thinking "Dang, THAT's what I should have done to get out of that!" HA!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your 15 minutes in!
Now I only GET to sew what I packed for this two month trip - rather limiting some days, but it keeps me on task! Glad you had a warm day to walk home.
ReplyDeleteI like to stitch a little before leaving too but sometimes it makes me not want to leave at all. And, yes I do get paralyzed by choices. Going through a little of that now. I have time to sew but cannot decide where to start so I am frittering away the opportunity. I htought I'd browse the blogs until I can focus.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to be free! Yes, I'm always paralysed by choices, so much fabric, so many designs and so little time. I'm beginning to realise that it's better to do anything and just keep going and eventually something good can happen.
ReplyDeleteYeah.....well you've done your duty for how many years?
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing
Constantly ....and then I end up doing nothing at all!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet this is one time that rejection doesn't hurt haha. I'm happy for you!
ReplyDeleteLove your little snowbird :)
oh yes...I decided THIS year to finish up the UFOs but then...I was over on the Modern Quilt site with their 100 days campaign and learned how to make triangles out of rectangles and then...I had to make several so I wouldn't forget and then...you get the drift! Your birdie looks SWELL!
ReplyDeleteALL the time! Right now I'm working on quilts for the book but all this fabric playing makes me want to sew up something SUPER easy .. and FAST... whew!
ReplyDeleteHave been in quilting mode for what feels like eons, and the itch to piece something (anything!) for a change gets stronger every minute. I don't dare give in until this project is done, or I might not come back to it for too long.
ReplyDeleteIt seems I cannot sew fast enough to keep with what my brain wants to accomplish. Yes, sometimes I don't know what I should do first and I waste too much time thinking of what I should do first and then changing my mind. I am working harder at forcing myself to make a decision and get on with it. The last couple of morning I have been doing some sewing before I head to work and I really liking it. I think I am going to make a effort from now on to sew before I go to work and see if it improves my mood!
ReplyDeleteWarm days in winter are such a treat! I would love a walk in NYC. It's always good to be home, though.........where I have often been paralyzed by choices. It just means I'm never bored. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to say that happens to me most days!
ReplyDeleteYou lucky duck! I just finished JD today after being on a case three weeks and today when they were supposed to give us the case to deliberate they decided to settle!
ReplyDeleteOn the plus side, I'm now paralyzed too--not so much by the choices but the "To Do" list I haven't tackled in the last three weeks. But that changes tomorrow--can you say "got-my-life-back-quilt-athon"?!?!
