BUMBLE BEANS BASICS CHALLENGE / giveaway!



 CLOUD 9 FABRICS is supporting 
BUMBLE BEANS BASICS!



 PAT SLOAN and I and CLOUD 9,
Have a challenge for 6 you.

I am asking for 6 people to play ...and Pat is asking for 6 people...

If we get more than 6 each, we will each draw 6 names and those

12 people with get 8 pieces 9" X 11"
 of "Miscellany" (above)
a line by fellow New Yorker, 
Julia Rothman
 to DESIGN A 12" QUILT BLOCK.



The BLOCKS will be judged by Julia Rothman.
She will pick a winner, and...



The winner will get a FQ bundle of CLOUD 9's
upcoming line ACROSS THE POND 
which is proving to be their most popular collection yet!

THEN, all 12 blocks will be made into a quilt for BASICS.

So, comment here if you want to play along from now til 6pm Monday

and also hop over to Pat's blog  and comment
if you want another chance to play.
(BUT only one packet of fabric per person)


If you are chosen we will need your email address ASAP
so fabrics can be mailed out.

Blocks need to be made and mailed back to me (Victoria) by Sept. 10th.

  10. Fantastic idea! I love challenges and this challenge has something more: gives opportunity to create something with fabrics which we haven't chosen by ourselves. That's really interesting!

  21. Can't pass up a chance for free fabric and to donate to basics! Although since there is a lottery, you can be sure I won't win! I have never won a lottery or raffle in any of the three guilds I belong to here in the city!

  25. What a great challenge! I would love to participate and my mind is already thinking of a block design should I be one of the lucky six to make a block. The fabrics are very unique and I would love a chance to create with them. Grrreeaat project, excellent cause!

  30. please throw my name in the hat. i'm trying to stick with my quilting catch up challenge. that means no new quilts till i have my 3 room sizers completed!! but, a block(s) for basics would not be breaking any of my new rules, :>)

  35. I would love a chance to play along. I'm a huge Cloud 9 fan and it all started at CHA in California the year I opened my paper arts store. Cloud 9 was a brand new vendor and I ordered a lot of your product for my store. I always loved your paper lines, and now I love your fabric lines. I would love to be a part of this wonderful challenge.
