I woke up this morning from a good dream.
I woke up and i thought, "I know exactly what i am going to make today."
Have you ever had quilt dreams?
This is a new one for me... Never had a QUILT dream before...
I used to play pro-amateur billiards, and I would have billiard dreams.
I'd shoot a shot over and over in my dream until it was perfect every single time...
It was quite obsessive... but I swear my game got even better because of those dreams...
Now it's quilt dreams...
I shot out of bed,
and got right to work before my house guests woke...
I think it was a great way to start the day!
I'd love to hear your stories if you've had them!
your quilt dream made me smile as do most of your quilts.
ReplyDeleteNo quilt dream tales here!
ReplyDeleteWaiting to see your dream beauty tho!
I always quilt in my sleep before I go into the studio. That's where my best ideas come from. I thought everyone did it that way.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful piecing! Most of quilt dreams are day dreams :)
ReplyDeleteHey V, I dream about quilts a lot and I think about quilts, alot! My passion and my obsession! Happy quilting my friend!
ReplyDeleteSome of my best quilt ideas come from dreams! My sister has them to, and when we collaborate, we come up with GREAT stuff :) :)
ReplyDeletedreaming quilts...now you're a real honest to goodness quilter. You were one before but now it's official!!!
ReplyDeleteNo quilt dreams, but I do have my best ideas in bed when I can't sleep.
ReplyDeleteIt's The middle of the night here in Utah and I am having a deja vu experience as I read of your quilt dream, my dreams are when I can't sleep I get up and create then go back to bed and find in the morning a quilt created in my dreams. I love the happiness of the quilt placed in a "smiley face" fashion!!! U make me smile, Em

ReplyDeletePro amateur billiards huh? You have many hidden talents. I often solve quilt problems during my morning walk. Fresh air, clear head works wonders. This is a fantastic dream. Can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteyep, just occasionally those quilt dreams pop by! :) Love them when they visit!
ReplyDeleteDid you see quilt patterns in your mind after each shot in billiards?! That was a fun little tidbit about you that I would have never guessed - I would have thought something more like a long-distance runner since you are tall and thin, but I can guess that is helpful in billiards, too!
ReplyDeleteOK, I'll be brave and tell you my funny quilt dream. I was co-chairing my guild's quilt show, so was living-eating-and-breathing quilts and quilting - and, as it turned out, dreaming it too. We had as part of our show a challenge quilt, which involved pairs of quilters passing their quilts back and forth, and adding borders - one border pieced, one appliqued, and so forth. In my dream, one of the borders had to be edible! My co-chair made me a small quilt with candies tied to it, in honor of my dream. I hang it every Christmas - with fresh candies of course!
ReplyDeleteI have dreamt of a quilt. And a person in my office. When I got into the office in the morning and sketched the quilt I realized that it was very much like a computer and pixels, and the person I dreamt about was our head IT guy!
