B has been stealing my little 2" squares! So instead of having lay all over the living room, we sat down with her Dog fabric she got last week, and we carefully and strategically laid out the doggies in the RIGHT way.
Everyone seems to be happy with the outcome.
And a few picks for my mother... Garden shots of the peonies, that were once living in my grandmothers garden in MN.
The garden is weeded. yippeeee!
But some nasty VOLES have scarfed up my watermellon, sunflowers, one tomato plant and a bunch of beans!!! grrrrrr! I'm feeling a little cady shack!

I love peonies too. My grandma had them, and then my dad planted them in his yard. He had lots!! He was so sentimental.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden V! I have a .22 you can borrow for that vole! ;>)
oh I love peonies too, the pictures are wonderful, what a great garden you have.
ReplyDeleteOh what an adorable pillow B made, she should be so proud of herself!
cute fabric!
Which is cuter, B or pillow? Darn those vermin. Love the star in the lettuce row. Great yard sale finds!
ReplyDeleteB is cuter, but it's close! And sorry, but this City girl has no garden/vole tips for you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely pillow! B must be so proud!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Dionne
Don't you think that B looks more and more like you? I have not idea what a vole is....it is like a mole? We had moles on the farm, and my dad and grandpa would pipe the exhaust gasses from the truck down into the hole and the someone would be waiting at the other end to whack them with a shovel when they popped up out of another hole. Ahhh the peaceful country life...lol.
ReplyDeleteIf you're done weeding your garden, you can always come weed mine...seems I'm never done.
ReplyDeleteLove B's pillow, it's absolutely wonderful!
First off love the pillow. I really admire how you can make anything happen out of any fabric, I am so scared or mixing up too many designs.
ReplyDeleteAnd Peonies are my absolute FAVORITE flower so thanks for posting a picture of them, made me smile :)
The pillow is great! Your garden looks awesome too!! Amanda Jean is coming to the B & B I work at in Colorado in November for a quilting retreat!! Are you interested in quilting with the crazy mom? Info will be on our website soon and I'll keep you posted!
ReplyDeleteVery cute pillow the 2 of you made. Your flowers and garden look nice too, do I see some lettuce ready to cut?
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute pillow for such a sweet girl, nice to see she shares your love of fabric. Wow, thanks for the trip down memory lane with the peonies...my Grandma had an ocean of them off her back deck when I was a kid. Mine have yet to bud out let alone bloom.
ReplyDeleteI'm coming right over to rest on that cushy pillow!
ReplyDeleteB's pillow is very pretty, as is she!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame to see you hard work get munched up by critters. Your peonies are lovely.
i love the peonies! and the pillow! and your huge garden!!!
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks SO nice. Ok.. so did you have trouble moving those peonies? I don't seem to have much luck moving mine.. and do you know.. do they propogate? It is so nice that you have them from your grandma's garden.. i love that kind of stuff.
