I've used up almost all my scraps for these crumb blocks. They are 7" square, and I have no idea what I will do with them. I'd like to get a few more together out of the bits I have left. We'll see. But I am so loving the batiks... Why did this take me so long to play with them??
I've been working on my machine quilting! What fun! I can manage the big stuff but haven't taken my time with small things, So I am making the effort.

Batiks are wonderful. The setting you picked to photograph the quilt is perfect. Who would think? You did. Love the finished quilt.

BTW, your photos today are just AWESOME!
I love the look of your fantastic crumb blocks, they're "yummy". I can't blame Jenny Egg for staking claim on the quilt...it's lovely and fun. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteWow - your quilting looks amazing! Great photos and a fantastic new quilt. Smart dog. When I first started quilting it was all about the batiks for me. I've got lots of bits and pieces left over if you'd like to have them - I'd love to send (or hand deliver) them to you.
ReplyDeleteThose batik blocks look like stained glass to me. How fun! And I love the cherry fabric too.
ReplyDeleteJenny Egg is soooo cute on this gorgeous quilt! All your pictures are great - the colors just are intense.
ReplyDeleteI love batiks and always gravitate towards them over prints! I used to make batik pictures over 20 years ago.
Love that green star with red and yellow stitches!
V, Everything looks fabulous. Your machine quilting looks great. Yipee! Fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteThat crazy patch quilt is great! That striped fabric around the squares is so inspired and pulls the whole thing together. LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the crazy patch quilt, cherries are my favorite. So fun and cheery......your dog has good tastes :) The batiks are amazing.....what a great project! Cant wait to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and send my love to B and M!!!
I love that your sashing and posts enhance the blocks sooooo much. That Crazy Patch quilt is one of my fav's!
ReplyDeleteI've never gotten into batik's. I think it's because I've had a bad experience with dye transfer, but that was before "color catchers" that you throw in the wash. I think for now I'll leave all the batik love up to you and Wanda....and I'll just stand over here and admire the results...lol.
i love the quilt you finished! it's so bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteyou know, i had a similar experience with batiks. i couldn't be bothered with them, until i received some scraps from a few blog friends. it's fun to work with such saturated colors!
The little blocks are great, and your quilting is looking really good! Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful outdoor photos of your quilts! Made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI love how the red and white stripe sashing really makes this quilt sing. gorgeous! fun crumb blocks too!
