WARNING: Hard hat area : A quilt is under construction here...
I've been showing the progress of this quilt through the various thinking/playing phases.
It's no where near finished, all though, I see it in my mind how it will be.
Stay tuned. It ain't over til the big quilt sings...
And it's starting to "hummmm" along with me.

I've got three things I keep bouncing around on.
The big quilt above, this little batik above, and the crazy patch below.
I just can't decide which one I want done first, and I am thinking they will all get done on the same day if I keep going at this rate. A little on each every day....

Does anyone happen to know of a pink cherry fabric with white polka dots? I've seen some around but don't know who makes it... It's very similar to the vintage blue cherries on this quilt above.... but with a pink background, if anyone knows, shoot me a email. thanks!
Besides quilting, I meant to get to the weeds again in my garden today, we've had so much rain they just keep springing up its' hard to keep up. But I had no energy and think I may be getting the sniffles/sore throat... BOOO!! I actually had to turn the heat on today in house a little, as it was so wet damp and chilly... the breezes off the ocean go right to your bones. Even though I'm a few miles away...
I've been itching to do some more photography, other than my quilts etc. So I dug through some old stuff for inspiration. My sketch book is waiting, also, for me to sharpen a pencil or two... the brain is a ticking....
I really like how the redcross quilt is turning out. It's been fun to watch the progress. thanks
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics in that crazy patch really sing. I ment to do some gardening (for that read weeding) but had the opposite problem - too hot!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself!
I am LOVING the section with the 4-patch red on the cross. Somehow that just brings it together for me, and livens up the ocher.
ReplyDeleteLoving your creations especially the 4/9 patch quilt. All your quilts are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOooo, I'm really liking the 4-patches with the addition of that purple-y fabric (Kaffe?). That really sparks it up for me. This is fun to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI really like your crazy quilt. It has a summer-y feel to it.
I hope your weather cooperates soon, and that you feel better too!
and work at your pattern —
ReplyDeleteit will come out a rose by and by.

I like the variation with purple...this color add interest and movement at the quilt.
ReplyDeleteHope the weather will be better!

I'm loving seeing the process of you making your quilt. I hope that you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI really really really like that binding! It is interesting! I'm sewing some scraps today. Happy Sewing!!!
ReplyDeleteLook at that cute picture of "Little B"!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the cherry fabric you are hunting for is from the "Oh Cherry" line, a Moda print, I believe. I just saw it online the other day...
I think you should've taken more projects to your summer place. You are going to have them all done.
The cheery cherry quilt is the bomb! I'm loving it big time and can't wait til I see the final incarnation. I love that you chose the red for the crosses...that's my favorite version.
ReplyDeleteTea with honey....chase away that cold, honey.
