scrap fun!

My friend Lisa and her Daughter Caroline stopped by my studio after the NYC MODS meeting and we played a bit in some fabric... ( of course!)   As she was cleaning up to leave I told her should could definitely leave her scrap lay on my table.... because why not infuse a bit of someone else's fabrics into my scrap bins!!

Not more then 5 minutes after she left...
this happened.

And shortly after that, this happened...

Gotta love those scraps!!

  3. I got my DWR Quilts book, I read it cover to cover....It's so cool that you put stories of the meaning of your quilts in there and it's not just "how to" reading ! Your scrap hexies are lovely eye candy...Lisa does have some pretty fabric !

  5. Inspiring Video! I've been playing with my scraps lately and made some string blocks. It was fun and easier than I thought. They also looked more usable and interesting than I thought they would. Thanks for your ideas.

  6. Love what you produced in your play time! I was leaning towards sorting all my scraps into colour drawers etc. but now see that it's ok to just have the whole lot in one great big happy looking bin!

  7. I throw all my scraps in a big box like that too! I was feeling guilty and thinking I should cut them up into strips and squares, but it feels like wasting fabric since I might need that little eighth inch for an applique piece or triangle.
