DWR NEWS!!!

I'm super excited to share with you my latest project....

12 Double Wedding Rings Quilts, 4 of my grandmother's work, and 4 of my burial quilt series will be on display at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts June 25th!  I have been busy busy busy over here in the Bumble Beans Studio Since I made  Double Edged Love... That quilt set of a whole string of ideas for me both as a artist and personally... Emotionally, it's been the best gift ever. I am thrilled to be able to tell my personal side of my life through quilts, and have them all displayed at one time together...

I hope you will mark the date, and make the trip to come see the work, take my class and or lecture...
Dates to be posted soon for the events at the Museum shortly. Contact the Museum to sign up early.

  8. Now... how to con the spousal unit into taking a vacation in Wisconsin. Do they have good places to metal detect there?? :D I wish and hope that I can go. I'd love to see your work in person.

  9. Very exciting that you are working in series with such an inspirational quilt/pattern. Hope there will be lots of pics to come, too -- a DWR book, perhaps??? -- for those of us unlikely to make a Wisconsin trip.

I'm finally starting my DWR for the challenge today! (had to finish something to free up the design wall, got that done last night, yay)

  16. Wow, that's exciting. I may have to make the trip from Iowa to meet you and see those quilts. I will soon be researching for my first attempt at a double-ring quilt, as my stepson gets married in June 2014! I admire that pink one you show here so much.

  17. I saw you exhibit in VA yesterday. It was fun to see your quilts up close and I saw several that I had not seen before. Your quilts are so much fun and it was cool to see you quilt DNA from your grandmother's quilt too. That was a really nice touch.
