WAHOO!

WOW! What a day yesterday was! Yesterday was the day Letters of acceptance and rejection for the International quilt show! Facebook was buzzing with excitement and grumbles over rejections, and then later in the evening, joyous noise from those who got it!

Well. I can say that, I had one rejection, Which I planned on getting anyway... But I was holding out HOPE for our group quilt to get juried in... and I can HAPPILY SAY,

OUR GROUP QUILT GOT ACCEPTED TO HOUSTON!

I don't have an image to share... yet.  But those involved in our quilt, "EXQUISITE JOURNEY" are: Frances Holiday Alford, Michele Muska, Hoodie, Myself, Kathy York and Leslie Tucker Jenison!  We are thrilled. Leslie and Kathy have other a few other quilts in Houston too so it was a great day all around!

"Color Quartet" will be in the IN FULL BLOOM exhibit at Houston.
I also sent off a box of quilts for Special Exhibits yesterday to Houston.  A group quilt I did a couple years ago with Shelly Sutton, Rayna Gillman and Tonye Belinda Phillips is in the "In Full Bloom" exhibit,
J Rock Star, by Victoria Findlay Wolfe  is in the Modern Exhibit

and I have a quilt "J Rock Star" in the Modern Exhibit...

along with the quilt I designed for Our Group NYC Modern quilt "Cutting Edge Conglomerate"!

So yesterday was a very good day.
Four more reasons to look forward to HOUSTON... ( besides my BOOK coming out!)
