Sew'n & ride'n

While I am at my house out of the city, I don't have my sewing machines!!! So I dug out my Flower garden quilt... I started it about 1 1/2 years ago. I did all the flowers very quickly, and then it sat for a very longtime... I figured now was as good a time as any to try to get something done with it.

But then I got side tracked....
It was about 46 degrees out today. No snow. Dry... Sunny.... hmmmm...??.

A good day to charge the battery on my Harley! I saw many bikes out today when I went out for my groceries... so I thought, better now, because when January gets here, brrr.... So, got out the leathers, and several layers...

And froze my nose and fingers!!
But you still can't wipe that smile off my face.

Sorry Cat! I know yours is parked for the long CO winters!
(sewing and harleys! who knew!)

And a GOOD LUCK to my friend Rose, who is going to take her motorcycle test in January!

Now if I could just get her to sew...

  1. I'm jealous.

    That's almost 50 degrees!

My bike is tucked in under it's winter cover out in the back shop, down the long snowed in drive... unretrievable... until Spring. Wahhhh.

...I wish I had that Harley Smile.

    Lucky you!

  2. Looks like a lot of fun, the chilly kind of fun... Love your garden quilt top, the brown fabric really brings it all together!!! Nice to have some long term handstitching project to bring out now and then. A no rush project.

  3. Nothing wrong with a little variety in life. :-D
I keep putting off that hexagon quilt because of the sewing together of the flowers.. but I think one is inevitably in my future..
